ENTRIES = ++PTF (RO71381) FILE TRIGGER IS UNEXPECTEDLY ACTIVATED BY FAILOVER File triggers that have unsatisfied predecessors are wrongly activated in the case that an agent with a defined FAILOVER parameter takes over the workload. This fix keeps the file trigger waiting until the predecessors are satisfied. File triggers are activated even though the predecessors were not satisfied. Unexpected file trigger activation during agent failover. Temporarily omit the FAILOVER parameter in the agent definition. CA Workload Automation EE 11.3 Copyright (C) 2014 CA. All rights reserved. ENTRIES = ++PTF (RO72088) LCSF RETURNING INVALID CONDS A job scoreboard entry may stay in application wait and/or application hold status. It happens when an application is terminated, for example through the APPLJOB ALL TERMINATE command or TA line command in CSF while the application is in a on hold and/or wait status. This fix ensures that the job scoreboard is properly updated for application termination request. "LCSF (APPLHOLD) AND (COMPLETE)" command returns wrong values for the applications which were on hold and terminated. LCSF command may display wrong entries but the ESP inner processing is not affected. Only the scoreboard may be incorrectly updated. CA Workload Automation EE 11.3 Star Problem(s): ESPWA 1517 LJS COMMAND SHOWS WRONG RUN TIME The elapsed time of a job run can be wrongly computed for quick running distributed workload objects. The LJS command will show meaningless value 75059993.8 for MINS_EXEC. It is an overflow problem corrected by this fix. LJS command displays too high a value for MINS_EXEC. Wrong value displayed by LJS command. CA Workload Automation EE r11.3 Star Problem(s): ESPWA 1556 JOBS STUCK IN JOBANCWAIT A job in an application with the keyword JOB_ANCESTOR_WAIT(ANY) may remain in JANCWAIT status although previous runs of the same job have completed. It can happen for the following time-sorted scenario: 1.Same jobs in 2 or more immediately previous application generations are forced complete. 2.There is still at least active job of the same name in a previous application generation. 3.A new application generation with the same job is triggered and the keyword JOB_ANCESTOR_WAIT(ANY) used. 4. All jobs as #2 are completed. The fix corrects the ESP ancestor wait behavior. A job in an application with defined the keyword JOB_ANCESTOR_WAIT(ANY) is not released from ancestor wait status though all conditions were satisfied. A job incorrectly remains in ancestor wait status. NONE CA Workload Automation EE r11.3 Star Problem(s): ESPWA 1548

CA Workload Automation ESP Edition 11.4 5 CA RS 1504 - PTF RO72088 WRONG VALUE OF END TIME FIELD End time field of a bypassed job in the Workstation Director incorrectly displays subscribe time value instead of the actual job bypass time. After applying the fix, the Workstation Director correctly displays the actual job bypass time value in the End time field of the bypassed job. The failover cloning process may be time consuming due to large ESP operational data sets. As a result, the primary proxy subsystem may start journal transmission before its primary master finishes cloned data sets transmission. This may cause a contention on the secondary sysplex ESP operational files. 2. The JOURNAL TAKEOVER command does not cause an actual switch to the secondary sysplex. It only sets internal flags and issues an appropriate message, and takeover is postponed until all primary subsystems go down. User intervention or automation is required to shut all the primary subsystems down. With this fix applied, performing shutdown of all the primary subsystem by the JOURNAL TAKEOVER command decreases the risk of unsynchronized shutdown due to automation dysfunction or human error. 1. Contention on ESP operational files. 2. Takeover delay. 1. Failover session fails. 2. Critical takeover delay. PRODUCT(S) AFFECTED: Copyright (C) 2014 CA. All rights reserved. CA Workload Automation ESP Edition 11.4 7 CA RS 1504 - PTF RO72998 11.4 RO72998 RO72998 M.C.S. ENTRIES = ++PTF (RO72998) DESELECTION CAPABILITY FOR RERUN MULTIPLE This enhancement enables users of the RERUNM command and of the RM CSF line command to exclude a job from a rerun multiple request by placing a minus sign before the job name in the list of root jobs. Examples: -RERUNM APPL(MYAPP.3) ROOTJOBS(-.-,-JOBA,-JOBD) SIMULATE requests simulation of a rerun multiple of all jobs in an application, but excludes JOBA and JOBD. -RERUNM APPL(MYAPP.3) ROOTJOBS(-.-,-JOB-.-) SIMULATE requests simulation of a rerun multiple of all jobs in an application, but excludes jobs whose name begins with JOB. -RERUNM APPL(MYAPP.3) ROOTJOBS(JOBA+,-JOBC+) SIMULATE requests simulation of a rerun multiple of all jobs in an application whose first job is JOBA, but JOBC and its successors are excluded. In the case of the RM CSF line command, the format of the root jobs list on the "Rerun jobs" panel is identical to the syntax of the ROOTJOBS operand of the RERUNM command. If a job list data set is used to specify root jobs, a minus sign prefixed to a job name excludes the job, for example, a job list data set that contains (-.- -JOBA -JOBD) requests a rerun multiple of all jobs in an application, but excludes JOBA and JOBD. ENTRIES = ++PTF (RO74168) IF-THEN-ELSE-DO-ENDDO LOGIC CORRECTION This fix corrects various bugs related to processing of IF,THEN,ELSE,DO,ENDDO constructs: - When a symbolic variable is not defined in a procedure, ESP rightfully issues 13E error message. However, when this symbolic variable is used in the logical expression of an IF statement, then ESP may also issue spurious 21E and 322E error messages. - A symbolic variable defined and used inside a JOB scope, in the logical expression of an IF statement, is not recognized by ESP as defined. Note that this happens only in the processing mode and only when another job is being processed. As a result ESP generates spurious 13E error message, as well as possible spurious 21E and 322E messages. - When a symbolic variable is not defined in ESP procedure, but it is used in the false branch of IF statement, no error messages are supposed to be generated. This works as expected under THEN false branch. However, in case of ELSE false branch, ESP issues 13E and 21E spurious error messages. - Some ESP statements, like ECHO, following an INVOKE statement may not be executed by ESP. This happens when invoked procedure contains a DO statement, but closing ENDDO is missing. - When jumping inside correctly defined IF-THEN-ELSE-DO-ENDDO constructs (JUMPTO command), ESP may generated spurious 322E error messages. Note, this happens only when usermod 190 is on. - When EXIT statement is coded inside DO/ENDDO block, ESP may issue spurious 26E error message. Note, this happens only when usermod 190 is on. - When a nested IF-THEN-ELSE construct is immediately followed by another IF statement (not necessarily nested), this second IF may be ignored by ESP (both true and false branches are skipped). The following messages have been added and/or modified: 26E - Missing <N> ENDDO statement(s) 702E - More than 65535 nested DO statements, DO ignored 2813W - DO statement extraneous information ignored 21E - ELSE statement is out of sequence, ignored 22E - No THEN statement found 23E - Invalid logical expression ESP does not recognize correct IF,THEN,ELSE,DO,ENDDO constructs and issues error messages. The value of %MNJOBNO has to be close to 32767. In this example, the abend occurs if %MNJOBNO is between 32751 and 32767.
