A) Mumbai Corporate Games is India s first Multi Sport League event presented by HPE INDIA and Managed by SPORTZ HPE. Mumbai Games is a multi-sport, team event sports extravaganza for the Boys & Girls, Men & Women of Mumbai and Pune. A variety of sports competitions will be held at Sport authority of India SAI Center in Kandivli, Mumbai. Q2) where did the inspiration come from to conduct such an event? A) Mumbai Corporate Games is modeled after the Olympic Games. The philosophy of the Mumbai Games is that everyone participates as a team regardless of age or ability in Olympic Game event. Main mission is to team building around coworkers, family and friends. The MCG 2014 embodies the values of participation, sportsmanship and promotes active lifestyle among residents of Mumbai and amongst corporate and private businesses and organization. Q3) What is the motive behind this event? A) There are three reasons: 1. Team Building. 2. Enhance Performance of company and organization through sports and fitness. 3. Provide a platform for every Mumbai and Punekar s to display their sporting talent. 4. Develop and create awareness about healthy lifestyle. 5. Make Sports a part of daily life of a common man. 6. Sports entertainment as a league format. Q4) who is the organizer of the Mumbai Games? A) Mumbai Corporate Games is presented by HPE based in London, UK one of premier sport management firms. Q5) when will Mumbai Corporate Games be held? A) Mumbai Games will be held over 5 days in month of November Dec 2014.
Q6) who can participate? A) Anyone residing in Mumbai, Pune and its suburbs can register in one of the 12 sports as a team in group by paying a nominal fee. There are no restrictions at all! It s open for all sports and fitness lovers. 1. National and Multi National Company. 2. Private offices and Organization. 3. Hospital, Govt Dept and Health centre. 4. Employees, co-workers and clients. 5. Business partners and franchisee chains 6. Family and Friends. Everyone and any one can participate. Q7) what are the contingents? Is there a selection process at contingent level? A) No Contingents. A Mumbai Corporate Game is mass level participation event held at one venue in Mumbai. There is selection process participant participating will be screened initially for the particular game by sportz HPE experience sports staff. Q8) what are the different sports? A) There are a mix of Indoor and Outdoor Event. For the first time in India, Olympic Sport like Shooting and Boxing are introduced in the private event like MCG. Please note- MCG is not individual Sport it s a TEAM event so participant can register individually and later sportz HPE will form a team for them, if the necessary requisite members in the team are not formed, we will make them play in special group which will be disclosed during the competition. Q9) what am I going to get by participating? A) The will to win is important but the will to participate is more important. Glory, fame, recognition would be there but along with this satisfaction, happiness to participate would be more. Winning or losing is up to you. However to boost your confidence level we have five awards and medal categories which will be awarded based on point system to different teams and individual in various sport categories. Cash awards are also on a plan for the winners. Q10) Can I participate in multiple events? A) A participant can register for various sport in a team or individually taking into consideration the schedule of the games. The participant cannot take a gap or rest in between the event, absenteeism from the event would be considering as walkover to other team. However the participant should maintain a good fitness level to compete in multi event. Q11) is there going to be any registration fee? A) Yes, the registration fee is COMPULSARY for participation. Rs. 1000 is the Registration Fees per participants plus service tax however event sponsor have FREE registration for few member of their team.
12) Where will the events be held? A) The event will be the held at Sport Authority of India SAI Center in Kandivli, Mumbai. Q13) how can I register? A) There are three options. You can register online, by cash, cheque or Net Banking Transfer or at physical registration counters. Also call 09892981954 for registration process Q14) How will I come to know if my registration done is successful or not? A) You will be sent a confirmation SMS or E-mail on your registered mobile number or e-mail id. This is an indication that your registration has been confirmed. In case you fail to receive our SMS/ E-mail, you can always call our helpline number. Q15) what are school, college and corporate championships? Are there separate tournaments for schools and corporate? A) Mumbai Corporate Games is an Open event and anybody can participate as per his or her age category. However to make it more interesting, any points (medals) that a person wins are added to his respective school, college or company. In the end, the school, college and company with maximum points are declared winners. Q16) Who do I contact if I have any queries? A) The help-line number is 09892981954. A) Yes, you can bring your family to watch the match but they won t be allowed to enter the playing arena. Q18) Will I get a certificate for participation? A) Yes, a certificate will be given to every participant. Q19) what will the winners get? A) Winners of individual events will receive medals. Winners of team events will receive medals and trophies. There will also be special trophies to winning contingent, school, college and company. Q20 What are Awards Categories? Games Medals & Awards Organizations and Athletes can win prestigious Awards by accumulating Games Points reflecting the performance of their team in the Games. MCG Platinum Award This is awarded to the Organization entering the most participants. It recognises the achievement of a very special Organization whose management and staff have responded to the challenge of Sport, Fitness and Health in the workplace.
FOS (Fit for Sport) Award This is presented to the Organization winning the most Medals. Championship Division Awards The Championship Division Awards recognize the Organization accumulating the most points within its Division. An Organization s Championship Division is determined by its overall team size. MCG - GOLD Awards Each Sport has its own Sports Championship, awarded to the Organization collecting the most Points within each Sport. GSB Medals Every first, second and third place finisher receives a Games Medal to recognize personal achievement. Games Point System and Divisions A special feature of the Games is the concept of dual competition. Athletes compete both for Points for their Organization and Medals for themselves.
