To navigate around the map, use the following basic map features: - On-screen + and - buttons zoom in and out (this can also be done by double-clicking the map, using the mouse wheel or by pressing the + and keyboard keys). - Pan around the map using your mouse (press mouse button down, move mouse, release button) or the arrow keys on your keyboard. - A scale indicator on the map can be used to assess distances. Additional functionality is available in the side-bar: - The search box allows you to search for a city or location. The Clear button removes the search results from the map. - Two Radius Circles are available to help you judge distance from site. They can be toggled on/off using the checkboxes and their radii can be customised by changing the numbers in the text fields. The radius circles are centred on your Site Location marker. By default, the site location will be used from ApLocate, but you can move it by dragging it to your exact location, or you can use the Feature Markers to select a new site location (only one site location allowed, placing a new one will automatically delete the previous location marker.) Note that you can toggle the display of the Site Location marker on and off using the appropriate checkbox. This stops the marker from interfering with placing markers or pedometer routes. - Use the Place feature markers selector to indicate those Diverse Uses facilities that meet the LEED requirements. Selecting a Feature Marker from the list will change your mouse cursor to the appropriate marker. Clicking on the map places a marker (there is no limit to the number of uses markers that you can place, but only one Site Location marker is allowed). You can draw multiple routes. Click on a route to see a menu that shows the distance it covers or to delete it. - The Save Image button captures the current map view. This image will be used within the credit documentation generated by the VE. The image is located in your project folder under the filename opt2.png. - The Zoom to Site button resets the map to your Site Location marker. - OK will close the map and store your changes / feature markers. Cancel (or the close button at the top of the window) closes the map without saving your changes. Option 1.
