The WIFI Kit can support up to 4 additional wired cameras on the DVR. Can I add additional WIFI cameras to my system? The system is designed to support up to 2 wifi cameras. How far can I have my WIFI cameras from my router? This distance will vary depending on your house, broadband WIFI signal reach and router. We therefore recommend testing the connection during installation before fixing the camera in place. If the signal is poor or keeps dropping out, you can resolve this by relocating your camera, upgrading your broadband and/or router, or using a WIFI signal booster. How many IP cameras can I add to my system in total? The system is designed to support up to 2 wifi cameras. Which App do I need to use for my system? No, the Smart WiFi CCTV does not currently support this feature. Can I link my Yale alarm and Yale CCTV kit together? The View App can be linked to the Yale Home App for quick access to your camera feed when an alarm event happens. When you download and create an account on Yale View App, a link button will be automatically be created in your Yale Home App Can I view my camera feeds on my phone? Yes, providing your DVR is connected to your home broadband, you can view footage via the Yale View App when connected to WiFi or 3G/4G.

Will my cameras work at night? Yes, all Yale cameras have infrared night vision Are the cameras wireless? Yale WIFI cameras do not require a wire to connect it to the DVR, these cameras do however need to be plugged in to a power source (these are not battery powered). Only for the first set up you need to connect the cameras to the router using the ethernet cable. Once the set up is completed you can use the cameras with the wifi connection. Does the DVR have built in WIFI? No, you have to connect this directly into the router using an Ethernet cable.however you use a wifi extenders with an embedded ethernet port to get an access point closer to you DVR. How do I use the Yale mouse? How do I record? From the main menu, select 'storage', then select 'schedule', then the record tab. 'Regular' is for continuous recording, 'MD' is for motion detection to record for only certain times of the day.

Why is my DVR not recording any footage? Go into the storage menu and select 'HDD manage' and check the capacity of the hard disk. Also check that your record settings are correct in the schedule menu. My CCTV System allows me to access the main menu, but no images are visible on the monitor? Make Sure the wifi cameras are added correctly. I can t download the app The app is compatible with most phones running Android 4.1 and above, or IOS version 8.0 and above. If you are trying to use the app on an ipad you need to search for iphone app on the App store. My DVR is not recording to the full capacity This is because settings have been changed or more cameras have been added. For example, if your DVR is set to 'always record' then this will give you the shortest recorded time period. If you select an option such as 'motion detection', this will give you a longer recording period as less data is being stored. Decoding error message on monitor for WIFI camera stream When using the wifi cameras it's not possible to playback using multichannel screen. If you try to do that you will see a decode error message. To playback the wifi camera recording please select single channel on the menu on the righthand side. Please check Searching in recorded video in the Smart Home WIFI CCTV user manual for more details. I can t view live streaming in the app? Please make sure you have followed the initial set up wizard to set up the system and connect the app. If you have changed the DVR password, you need to delete the camera/system from the app and add it again. to re-add the camera/system to your app after deleting, press + icon on the app main screen, then go on your DVR and select "Network" on main menu setting and then select "P2P" menu option and scan with your app the Device SN QR code, then follow the instruction on the app. Please check your router is connected to internet. Using a laptop or tablet connected to your wifi and then try to connect to a web page (example www.google.co.uk) to make sure your internet connection is working properly. Please check also that your DVR is online, go to "Network" in the main menu setting and then select P2P menu option in right hand side menu and make sure the status in online and the "enable" box is ticked. I am unable to connect my WIFI cameras to my WIFI system. Please ensure that you are entering the correct WIFI router password, the correct DVR password and check your signal strength. Please also check that you have a green status for the camera, if it changes to red, delete the camera and re-attach the ethernet cable again, then re-add the camera. If you have performed all of the above checks and you are still experiencing a problem, this could be due to the strength of your router and a multi antennae router may be required.

I have changed my router and now my WIFI camera will not connect If you have changed the wifi router, you need to update the wifi settings on the cameras. You need to reset the cameras by pressing the reset button on the bottom of the cameras for 10 seconds (led red flashing means reset is completed). after resetting the cameras, you need to plug ethernet cable inside the cameras connectors and connect it to the new router. Please go to "Camera" menu option on main menu setting Delete the cameras in the "Added device" After deleting the device you need to set the wifi cameras again (please make sure you have plugged the cameras to the router using the ethernet cable at this stage) Click IP search button. Select the found cameras and click Add Select "Wifi Camera" on the lefthand side menu, then select the camera channel and update wifi name (SSID) and password. Save settings.
