AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS 39 AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS This long-standing successful program is intended for children in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade. Programs will create opportunities for students to pursue their interests in crafts, woodworking, sports, and art. Courses are offered at each elementary school one day per week in five-week sessions. 42 After School Programs Continued AFTER SCHOOL DODGEBALL LEAGUE Is your 4 th or 5 th grade boy or girl interested in competitive sport leagues? Well this new after school program offered by Lenny Kass and Solar Recreation is where they should be. In the Winter, there will be a 5-week DODGEBALL league offered at each of the elementary schools. The first week will consist of a practice followed by four weeks of games. The children will be placed onto teams by Solar Recreation. This dynamic program has been developed in cooperation with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Children s Center, a leader in early childhood development and education. This innovative martial arts program will encourage your child to develop a positive attitude, perseverance, self confidence, and self discipline. If we follow the tracks of Winter activators and meet them, would they deserve a Valentine? What happens to giant bubbles on a cold Winter day? Winter will be sliding into Spring on our last day of class and we will celebrate the sweet tasty mysteries of maple sugaring. BE THERE!!
