This is the first desig to offer three-pole MCCBs i a mechaical drawout desig. Breaker ratigs from 20A to 600A use uique drawout cassettes. Breakers are iserted ad removed via a mechaical removal system similar to other drawout desigs associated with switchgear; however, these breakers are horizotally mouted i a traditioal paelboard ad switchboard group-mouted maer. Feeder devices above 600A through 1200A use a vertically mouted drawout MCCB desig. Regardless of the drawout MCCB eeded, all are frot-accessible ad frot-coected. Drawout MCCB paelboards Pow-R-Lie 4D drawout paelboards The Eato drawout Pow-R-LieT 4D (PRL4D) paelboard is CSA C-22.2 No. 29 Listed for wall-mouted applicatios from 600A to 1200A. The paelboards are rated at 240 Vac, 480 Vac, ad 600 Vac. Fault curret is available up to 200 kaic at 240 Vac, 100 kaic at 480 Vac, ad. 50 kaic at 600 Vac The short-circuit curret ratig of the paelboard is determied by the low short-circuit curret ratig of the lowest rated device i the paelboard. The both the box ad the trim are paited ANSI-61 light gray. Deadfrot covers are also paited ANSI-61 light gray to match the box ad trim. The cassette base is specially desiged so that the lieside coectios to the board s vertical bus ad the loadside coectio to feeder coductors ca be permaet. The drawout cassette allows the breaker ad ay breaker accessory coectios to be removed. Base cassette Drawout Molded-Case Circuit Breaker Base Cassettes The base cassette is permaetly mouted to the board s chassis. The cassette base lieside coectios use bus coectors ad are factory-coected to the paelboard or switchboard vertical bus. The base cassette is permaetly mouted to the board s chassis ad is desiged to accept the drawout cassette that cotais the breaker. The loadside feeder coductors are also part of the base cassette, allowig the loadside feeder coductors to remai with the base cassette whe the breaker is removed. This eables the breaker to be removed from the group-mouted sectio without the eed to remove the loadside coductors. The base cassette cotais a drawout rackig mechaism, a Coected/Discoected positio idicator, ad a pull-apart termial block base (used whe there are coectios to breaker accessories). I additio, the base cassette houses the lie ad load coectors that accept the drawout MCCB cassette. The viewig widow allows persoel to visually ispect the status of the breaker ad to see whether the breaker is coected to or discoected from the bus. The widow exposes the Coected/Discoected positio idicator o the base cassette. The exteral rackig port allows access to the rackig mechaism to draw out the breaker. The drawout cassette icludes a permaetly mouted deadfrot cover that is attached to the breaker assembly. The deadfrot withdraws with the breaker assembly. Additioally, the drawout cassette cotais hadles attached to the deadfrot to help easily remove the breaker. Whe accessories are istalled i the MCCB, the drawout cassette also cotais a pigtail wirig haress. The haress is factory-wired. Whe the drawout breaker cassette is removed, the termial block ca be easily discoected, eablig total removal of the drawout breaker cassette. Exteral coectios o the secodary side of the termial block are provided by the istaller. The drawout cassette employs two breaker families. The JG family stadard offerig is a adjustable thermal-magetic trip uit ad offers three-pole breakers ragig from 70A to 250A. Optioal 310+ trip uits offer ampere rages from 20A to 250A. The JG family is available i either a sigle group-mouted desig or a high-desity, space-savig dual group-mouted desig where two JG breakers occupy the same vertical space. Whe the Eato Arcflash Reductio Maiteace System is eabled, the resultig reduced arc-flash eergy allows for reduced PPE, which improves worker comfort ad mobility. With the Arcflash Reductio Maiteace System set at 2.5X or 4.0X, it reduces icidet eergy levels to allow PPE Category 0 for currets of 2.5X or 4.0X the breaker ampere ratig or greater. This is achieved by selectig ad settig the trip uit equipped with the ZSI optio.
