Before We Start Open your device Settings: o turn Airplane Mode off, and o Make sure you have a Wi-Fi connection. 2
Step 1 - Get the Free App (there s no cost to you) 1. Go to the App Store in order to avoid having to enter Credit Card information do not create an Apple ID account as the first thing you do 2. Search for inspect this and open the webpage pictured at left 3. Tap on the blue Open button this will download the app 4. If prompted to create an Apple ID, follow the prompts and fill-in all required fields for Payment option, select None When the download completes, the screen at right should open do not log in using this screen
Step 2 Enter Custom Host Address 1. Go back to your device Settings 2. Scroll to and tap on the Inspect This icon it is likely to be at the bottom of your Settings list, but its location depends upon how you ve organized this page 3. Under Connection, type the following text into the Custom Host field: sfrecandpark.secure.force.com
Step 3 Turn on Custom Host 1. Go back and open the Inspect This app do not log in using this screen 2. Tap on the gear icon to open the app s Settings 3. The Custom Host you previously created (sfrecandpark.secure.force.com) should display. Select it. The RPD login screen we use for Inspect This will then open. again, do not log in yet we need to set up your password first.
Step 4a Open Password Email An email similar to the one below will arrive in your Inbox (or in Clutter, or Junk) anytime that: You tap on Forgot Your Password on the RPD Inspect This login screen. Steve Rockwell resets your password manually from the database. Find the email and open it, and look for the information indicated below. 2) then click on this Login URL link 1) copy (or write down) the temporary password 8
Step 4b Log into the URL Screen Tapping on the email s URL link will redirect you to the Secure Customer Login screen. Expand the image to make it large enough to read then enter the information in blue below. your full work email address temporary password from email 9
Step 4c Create permanent password After you ve logged into the URL screen, the Change Your Password screen will open. Create a new permanent password that you can remember. I recommend something along the lines of InspectThis1 10
Step 4d Your password is finalized After you save your new password, you should end up on a Salesforce page something like this. 11
Step 5 Log In to Inspect This 1. Go back and open the Inspect This app; log in 2. During the login process, you may get a series of prompts -- say yes to all of them. your full email address new password you created
You should end up on your Inspect This homepage If you are logging in for the first time, your screen may look like this and have 6 icons.
Tap on the Get Latest icon then select the Get Latest-Send Data sync option in order to download all evaluations currently assigned to you It may take a couple minutes for all of the evaluation attachments to download.
Once your evaluations are downloaded, your screen will have only 3 icons. The numbers on the corners of My Inspections represent the status of your evaluations: at right = total number of Features which you need to act upon (for all of your sites) at left = total number of pending evaluation sites assigned to you
You can open the list of evaluations, and open any Site evaluation to see it s list of Features, but do not Start any Feature until you are at the park. Hit the back arrow to return to a previous screen.
Inspect This Overview 1. Each quarter you will receive assignment emails Each email will tell you of a site assigned to you, and give its address, target time, and link to its Features List and Maintenance Schedule 2. Get evaluation: Get Latest Send Data to sync with database (WiFi required) 3. Walk the site; navigate thru Feature Instances on device Sidebar of each Feature will turn from red to yellow once the Feature is started. Enter the location of issues in Comments fields; take photos. If you have more than one Site, you can do each of them on different days. True 4. Conduct final review; answer general questions Check to see that all Elements have at least one Criteria answered Then submit every Feature (the sidebar changes from yellow to green) 5. Turn evaluation in: Get Latest Send Data to sync (WiFi required) System will send you an email if you have invalid or incomplete answers. System will send you an abbreviated evaluation report when the evaluation is complete.
important things to remember Always have a full battery at the time you go out into the field. Bookend your evaluation with the All - General information Feature First place you go for Site map & guidance Last place you go to answer overall survey questions about the site Start only after your are at the site. Submit only after your evaluation is done and after final review. Get Latest when all Features are green, and you have WiFi. Entering Evaluation Results A True Criteria must have a comment/photo 1. Click on the Comments field to enter a location/description information and type using the on-screen keyboard. 2. Use voice-to-text (click on microphone at bottom of keyboard). 3. Close the keyboard by hitting the Return key. 4. Take a photo by tapping on camera icon above and right of Comments field. If you want have access to a photograph for yourself after the evaluation, you must take a second photo outside Inspect This.
