Duration: 3 Days Time: TBD Type: Instructor Led Language: English Cost: Request a Quote Description This three day course is designed for industrial automation and control systems engineering and technical personnel, who require a familiarity with the features of Unity Pro programming software, allowing them to work with Unity Pro capable Schneider Electric controllers in a variety of industrial control applications. This course will cover tasks common to all systems that run under Unity Pro. During the course, the student will be exposed to the IEC programming languages, ladder diagram (LD), function block diagram(fbd), instructional list (IL), structured text (ST) and sequential function chart(sfc). In addition, the student will be instructed in the basic principles of operation of a Schneider Electric automation controller using IEC type configuration and programming. Target Audience Engineering and Maintenance Skill Trades Personnel who need to maintain and integrate control system programs using Unity Pro software. Equipment The following equipment is used in this course: Unity Pro software Modicon M580, M340 and Quantum Objectives After completion of this course the student will be able to : Use Unity Pro software to configure a Schneider Electric M580, M340 and Quantum and associated input/output (I/O). Program, at the basic level, a Schneider Electric Quantum and M340 and M580 to control an application using the IEC programming editors FBD, LD, or found in Unity Pro software. Implement derived functions blocks at the basic level. Demonstrate an understanding of derived data types as used with Unity Pro program. Create, save, download, upload, test, monitor, search, and debug an IEC PLC application using Unity Pro software. Document and print a Unity Pro PLC application using Unity Pro Software. Duration: 3 Days Time: TBD Type: Instructor Led Language: English Cost: Request a Quote Description This three day course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the controls designer whose task is to build an application program using some of the more advanced features of the Unity Pro programming tool. This is not a system maintenance class. Discussions will include tools helpful in the debugging and commissioning process. However PAC hardware and system troubleshooting are not covered. Those topics are much better served in a system maintenance class where those techniques are the exclusive focus. Target Audience Engineering personnel who need to integrate and design control systems with Unity Pro Software and who need to program Modicon Quantum or M340 or M580 series PLCs using the advanced instruction set.
