2 Training Description: This course introduces to a Siemens integrated automation system. Participants will build skills on commissioning, troubleshooting and upgrading an automation system complete with HMI, PLC, drive and communications network. Students will learn to navigate STEP7, use the built-in diagnostics tools and perform basic program modifications. Profibus DP configuration and troubleshooting are included using remote I/O, a touch panel display and a drive system. The course format is a combination of instruction and hands-on exercises. A realistic conveyor model is used for demonstrations and participant exercises. Exercises allow students to practice tasks such as testing, debugging and using diagnostic tools. Training Objective: By the end of the training, participants will be able to: Identify the components and performance characteristics of the SIMATIC S7-300/400 PLC Install a PLC system, including the communication cabling and wiring of I/O Use the various address types to edit, reload, structure and run a program. Document, test, and basically troubleshoot the control system and its program Diagnose and repair simple hardware problems Utilize binary operations, timers, counters, comparators, and arithmetic operations for program modifications Integrate and troubleshoot an HMI and Drive system within the control system Configure and troubleshoot Profibus DP nodes Training Designed for: This course is intended for service/maintenance personnel who install or maintain automation systems and their application programs. 4 DAY FOUR: Synchronous blocks How to use function calls, function blocks and monitoring specific Various type of jump operations Introduce I/O used on profibus Creating a project HW preset configuration and downloading in module Displaying HW in the Sematic Manager Possible problems with configuration Variable addressing Accessing the symbol table DAY FIVE: Reading out and adapting the actual configuration Assign parameters to clock memory and test it Downloading and saving modified blocks Opening and editing FC1 and changing the programming language Saving FC1 and Downloading a Block into the PLC Calling FC1 in OB1 Expanding the program in the FC1 BLOCK Setup of training area with S7-300 Setup of training area with S7-400 Configuration of the training unit S7-400 Set the PG interface Course Conclusion POST-TEST and EVALUATION Training Requirement: Hand s on practical sessions, equipment and software will be applied during the course if required and as per the client s request.
