1 Title Templates For Final Cut Pro X Found in FCP X / Titles / 3D Text Overlays 3D Text Overlays for Final Cut Pro X features 25 Titles Templates each with unique textures and the ability for the user to add their own media as a Projection Map. The plug-in also features the ability to add Text Animation and includes a whopping 26 Build In - Out options. Designed to be used in combination with Final Cut Pro X s Text parameters, 3D Text Overlays is a powerful and versatile creative tool ideal for motion graphic, music video, commercial and corporate projects alike. Main Features: 1) A wide range of customizable animated overlays/textures. 2) Three animation menus allowing a huge number of combined styles. For example, the user can have the text zoom while every single character rotates and the entire word or sentence rotates or shifts position. 3) With the image well provided called Projection Map the user can project any media onto the text and customize it at will. 1 Copyright LucaVisualFX Ltd. 2016

2 The plugin also sports a whopping 26 different build in/out offering a wide range of stylistic solutions. 3D Text Overlays includes two themes: 1) A master templates featuring a menu with 30 different animated overlays. 2) 24 Presets. The master template, parameters seen on the left, by default does not show any animation. It is a blank canvas to start from. While animation controls and build in/out options give huge numbers of possibilities the user can still further modify everything with the very important GLOBAL CONTROLS. These are very useful because they are totally independent from the animation preset and allow not only the ability to adjust positioning, rotation, scaling etc but also adds even more animation choices by keyframing the parameters. Another important function of the global controls is the following: There are many animation presets, if any given combination automatically places the text a little too much to the left, bottom, right or top, or if the text looks too big or tilted, the user can quickly rectify this through the Global Controls without breaking the animation combinations selected. - Extending the title clip length in the timeline will slow down the animations. 3 Below are the parameters which come with 3D Text Overlays. Global Controls affects the whole text and should be used with the built in FCP X Text controls, seen on the right. This is where you will be able to input your Text, choose your Font, font Size and weight, Alignment and more... Custom Map is where you will be able to add your own media to replicate the effect of a Projection Map. Customization tools for the media are all in this section. These allow stylizations such as color change, luminosity shift blurs and tiling. Text Animation is where you will be able to add movement to the letters. A combination of all 3 Text Animation selections enable a truly dynamic look or leave the selection at None for a static text layout. We recommend experimenting with the various combinations and apply final adjustment with the global controls. 4 Use these controls to Position, Scale and adjust the Rotation of your text. Click on the triangle to reveal parameters to change the X, Y and Z axis individually. The overll opacity of the text can be controlled using the Opacity parameter. These controls are independent from the animation settings and can be keyframed. The position of the texture for the text for each template can be adjusted using the controls in Text and can be found under Material - Image Options - Placement. 4 Copyright LucaVisualFX Ltd. 2016

5 The parameters in this section enable the user to add a Projection Map via an image well. The video or image applied can then be customized using the parameters listed below. Adjust the position of the media by changing the Center X and Y values and changing the Scale and Rotation. The media applied is tiled by default. Adjust the Tiles parameter to increse the number of visable tiles within your text. Changing the Blend Mode and Source Channel can dramatically change the overall look of the media. Use Opacity to adjust the subtlety of the Projection Map on the text. 5 Copyright LucaVisualFX Ltd. 2016

6 There are 3 Text Animation drop down menus to choose from, when used in combination will create dramatically different results. Simply leave them all set to None for a static layout. Each menu includes 10 animation styles, some of these may be part of the same category, nevertheless others are included in separate menus so that the user can combine them. An example is the X Axis Rotation and Y Axis Rotation ; instead of being forced to choose one or the other, the user can combine both achieving a more dynamic result. Below the master template there are 24 presets, each one shows a simple animation style, however the user can drastically modify the animations by selecting different and multiple ones. 6 Copyright LucaVisualFX Ltd. 2016

7 When animating text, it is common to have it move into frame and eventually out of it. These 26 build in and out offer an unusually wide range of options. Not only can the user select different build in and outs, but also modify the way the animation looks. For this purpose the user may want to take advantage of the Direction and Speed menus. Direction contains 5 options allowing the user to determine which way the Build In - Out animates. The momentum at which the text moves can add character to the overall clip.
