1 Micro Focus iprint Add-On for Open Enterprise Server Micro Focus iprint add-on enables features such as mobility and printing for OES customers. WalkUp printing enables user s jobs to be put on hold and released to a desirable printer. Users of ios, Android, and Windows mobile devices can download Micro Focus iprint apps that enable them to print from their mobile devices directly to any of your organization's printers. Users can print from any -enabled device by sending an to Micro Focus iprint. Chromebook printing. 1 Installing iprint Add-On on a Single Node Follow the steps to install iprint add-on in a non-cluster or single node environment: 1 Prerequisites 2 Installing RPMs 3 Installing iprint Add-On 2 Installing iprint Add-On in a Cluster Environment Follow the steps to install iprint add-on in a cluster environment: 1 Prerequisites 2 Additional prerequisites for cluster environment. 3 Installing RPMs 4 Clustering on an NSS File System 3 Prerequisites Before installing iprint add-on, ensure that your system meets the following requirements: OES 2015 SP1 server patched with March 2017 patch OES iprint configured with latest patch Download server rpms and add-on iso from Beta Download ( Download?buildid=kcdFoyPyzp0~). 3.1 Downloading RPMs and ISO Section 3.1.1, Server RPM (Tar format), on page 2 Section 3.1.2, ISO, on page 2 Micro Focus iprint Add-On for Open Enterprise Server 1

2 3.1.1 Server RPM (Tar format) ISO The iprint-addon-beta.tar.bz2 includes the following folders: repodata rpm Ensure that the server rpm is installed before installing the iprint add-on iso (iprint-addon-x86_64- Buildd0026-Media1.iso). 4 Installing RPMs Before installing iprint add-on, you must install the rpms. You can install rpms either through YaST or by using the zypper command. Following are steps to install from YaST: 1 Create a folder on your OES server. For example, OES2015SP1_iPrintAddon 2 Copy the iprint-addon-beta.tar.bz2 tar file to the OES2015SP1_iPrintAddon folder and extract it. 3 To connect to the repository, run the command: yast2 repositories 4 In the Media Type, select Local Directory and click Next. 5 Browse and select the OES2015SP1_iPrintAddon folder, then click Next. 2 Micro Focus iprint Add-On for Open Enterprise Server

3 6 Ensure that the Enabled and Automatically Refresh option is selected for iprint add-on. 7 Run the command: yast2 online_update. Micro Focus iprint Add-On for Open Enterprise Server 3

4 8 After successful installation of the server rpms, you will be prompted to reboot the server. On restarting the OES server, proceed with iprint add-on installation. 5 Installing iprint Add-On 1 To launch YaST, run the command yast2 add-on. 2 In the Installed Add-On Products page, click Add. 3 In the Media Type, select Local ISO Image. 4 Micro Focus iprint Add-On for Open Enterprise Server

5 4 Browse and select the iprint Add-On ISO, then click Next. 5 Accept the Eula Agreement, then click Next. Micro Focus iprint Add-On for Open Enterprise Server 5

6 6 Select the pattern iprint Add-on for OES, then click Accept. This add-on requires CUPS service, which will run on port 3017 instead of port Continue with the on screen prompts. 8 After iprint add-on is successfully installed, a message is displayed for restarting Apache. You can only configure mobility after restarting Apache, so click Yes. 9 In Novell Customer Center Configuration screen, select Configure Later, then Next. 7 10 (Conditional) To configure mobility in a cluster environment, please continue with the Step 4 on page 9. or (Conditional) To configure mobility in a non-cluster environment, launch iprint Console in a web browser. Using iprint Console, you can manage and mobile features of the printers. Address or host name of OES iprint add-on server>/ipcon/ Micro Focus iprint Add-On for Open Enterprise Server 7

8 10a Username: Specify the name of the OES admin user 10b Password: Specify the password of the OES admin user 11 Launch iprint Console to enable printers for mobile, , and so on features. Each of the page in iprint Console includes an help icon enabling the features.. The help includes information for 6 Configuring iprint Add-On with Novell Cluster Services 6.1 Prerequisites iprint service configured and setup in a cluster environment on a NSS file system. Ensure to install server rpms on each cluster node. 6.2 Clustering on an NSS File System 1 Identify the node where pool resource is running. 2 Install iprint add-on service using YaST on the node where the pool resource is running. 3 Edit the unload script for the Cluster Pool. Add the following lines to the existing unload script after the ignore_error rcnovell-idsd stop statement: ignore_error rcnovell-iprint-mobile stop ignore_error rccups stop 8 Micro Focus iprint Add-On for Open Enterprise Server

9 For information on editing an unload script, see Modifying the Load, Unload, and Monitor Scripts. Changes do not take effect until you take the resource offline. Ensure to bring it online again on the same node. 4 Migrate the pool resource to the next identified node. For more information, see Cluster Migrating Resources to Different Nodes in the OES 2015 SP1: Novell Cluster Services for Linux Administration Guide. 5 Install iprint add-on service on the identified node where the pool resource is running. 6 Repeat Step 4 and Step 5 on all the iprint cluster nodes. 7 On successful installation of iprint Add-on all iprint cluster nodes, edit the load script for the Cluster Pool. Add the following lines to the existing load script before the exit 0 statement. exit_on_error rcnovell-iprint-mobile start exit_on_error rccups start Changes do not take effect until you take the resource offline. Ensure to bring it online again on the same node. For information on editing a load script, see Modifying the Load, Unload, and Monitor Scripts. 8 Run the iprint_nss_relocate script located at /opt/novell/iprint/bin. For more details on this script, see Running the iprint_nss_relocate script.. 9 Migrate the pool resource to the next identified node and run the iprint_nss_relocate script with the same arguments. For more information, see Cluster Migrating Resources to Different Nodes in the OES 2015 SP1: Novell Cluster Services for Linux Administration Guide. 10 Repeat Step 8 to Step 9 on all the iprint cluster nodes. 11 To configure mobility, launch iprint Console in a web browser. You must restart the mobile service for changes to take effect, rcnovell-iprint-mobile restart.
