2 XYZ Exporter Page 2 1. Introduction This program was created to takeover from NaviScan Convert. It has the capability to export to various formats, where you have the possibility to add tide and/or soundveocity correction. Other special features has been added as well, which will be described as well. It s designed to be a easy to go program, so exporting should as easy as possible.

You can click Browse to change the folder. 2.3 Sound velocity file Here you can add a sound velocity profile from a file. The default setting is no sound velocity profile, shown as [None Selected]. You can add one clicking Select, and following the procedures. This procedure will be described as documentation for the Ascii Importer. If you already have one, you can remove it, by clicking Remove, or select another by clicking Select. 2.4 Tide file Here you can add tide from a file. 4 XYZ Exporter Page 4 If you already have one, you can remove it, by clicking Remove, or select another by clicking Select. 2.5 Options This section contains settings for exporting the the specific format. If the format you currently export to, does not support on of the options, it will be grayed out Edit C-O and Offsets Opens a dialog, when exporting, where you can see/change these values before exporting. These values will not be stored in the SBD file, but just used for the export Swap bytes (Unix) Swaps the bytes in the file, when exporting. This makes it possible to read it from a unix computer Exclude bathy Excludes the bathy, making the depths relative to the reference point Export All beams Exports all beams, disregarding deselected beams and bad quality beams. This feature is only available in *.sbd *.xyz export Beam deselection Makes it possible to deselect specific beams. Upon clicking following dialog appears. Here you can de-select beams, you don t want to come out in the export.

5 XYZ Exporter Page Export The XYZ exporter currently supports 3 formats, which is the following: Ascii XYZ (*.sbd *.xyz) Ascii format containing one header pr. Scan and followed by each beam Header <Head no: 1..><Date><Time><Easting><Northing><Depth><Gyro><Roll><Pitch><Heave> Where Northing, Easting and Depth is of the reference point. Distances are in meters and angles are in degrees Beams Contains the X,Y,Z of each beam. <Easting><Northing><Depth> Example :30:
