Charleston, SC Panasonic Surveillance Camcorders At Mosho Investigative Group we chose Panasonic camcorders for their high optical zoom which Panasonic calls izoom. We also like that two of our models have WiFI and can be used with Panasonic s Remote Pan Tilt Cradle. Plus, Panasonic camcorders work well with Apple products. Our investigators carry these three cameras. *NOTE: There are many quality brand camcorders on the market that can get the job done just as well as the Panasonic camcorders listed here. It all comes down to personal preference. A new investigator isn't expected to have three camcorders for surveillance but it is wise to have a backup camcorder in case of a malfunction with your main camcorder. 1. Records Full HD Videos iiii iiii iiii Twin Camera Operation A rotatable sub-camera lets you take shots from two angles at once. You can capture the family and take a selfie in both telephoto and wide-angle shots. A backup function records a picture-in-picture image and a main camera image. The sub camera image is recorded into any one of various sub windows, and its display position can be changed with a simple touch of a button. Alternatively, using your smartphone's Wi-Fi, you can use your smartphone's camera instead of the sub-camera to shoot from any distance or angle you choose for a variety of Picture-in-Picture images. For a more dramatic slow motion effect the of the Crystal Engine's Intelligent Frame Creation interpolates frames to achieve an equivalent of 240 fps. You can easily switch to slow motion while recording with a simple touch on the LCD screen. High-Speed Precision Autofocus The image sensor has a 60 fps readout enabling quick focusing speed, stability, and tracking performance. 6 ia and Scene Modes ia (Intelligent Auto) senses the shooting conditions and automatically adjusts settings for optimal results. ia makes the bothersome settings for you and makes it easy to capture beautiful, wellfocused images. Scene modes include Sports, Portrait, Low Light (motion image only), Spot Light, Snow, Beach, Sunset, Fireworks, Scenery, Night Scenery, Night Portrait (still image only), and Soft Skin Mode. Focus Assist This function shows which subjects are in-focus by displaying their outlines in blue. You can easily check the focus on the LCD monitor when manually focusing, to ensure sharp images. Pre-Rec Function This smart function records three seconds of video even before you actually begin shooting. Before recording begins, the images are held in temporary, internal memory. This helps ensure that you won't miss the start of a moment you want to record, such as when an event begins all of a sudden. Color Night Rec / Color Night View Color Night Rec captures images with color even in dim lighting (1 lux). Shooting with Color Night Rec with Color Night View enabled improves color saturation for a more pleasing image. Auto Ground-Directional Standby The Auto Ground-Directional Standby (AGS) system works in conjunction with the O.I.S. linear motor system, which can detect when the camera is in an unusual shooting position and automatically stops recording, saving both battery power and media storage space. Advanced Highlight Playback Mode The camera detects zooming, panning, scene changes, faces, etc., in recorded images as "highlights" by using the I.I.S. (Intelligent Index System). This allows you to play back the footage you've just shot and have the camera playback images with transitions for you based on preferences you select. HD Writer HD Writer software, included with the camcorder, makes it easy to play or edit videos on your PC and have more fun when the shooting is done. The Short Movie Story function makes it possible to transform still images and videos into dramatic short videos. Once the still images / videos, a theme, and background music are selected, the software takes over to automatically produce the movie. It's easy to add titles, rearrange scenes, provide transition effects, and edit images in single frame units. Eye-Fi Compatible The HC-V201 is compatible with Eye-Fi memory cards (sold separately), which allow you to wirelessly transfer recorded content to a PC or upload it to social networking sites. You can also directly transport the data to your smartphone, tablet or other compatible devices without connecting another access point.
