4 INTRODUCTION The purpose of this test is to verify that the CCTV will comply with the Florida Department of Transportation s Standard Specifications for Intelligent Transportation Systems Section 682. 5 STEP PROCEDURE RESULT EXPECTED RESULTS/COMMENTS 1. Verify CCTV has been installed as per released for construction (RFC) Design Plans. Verify CCTV unit has no shipping and or handling damage. The camera height should be a as per approved released for construction (RFC) Design Plans and no shipping and handling damaged found. 2. Verify that all connectors are installed properly and labeled properly. All connectors are installed properly and all the devices, components and cables are labelled. 3. Verify that cabinet fan and lighting are operational. Cabinet fan and light are operational. 4. Verify the presence of a surge protector. Surge protector is properly installed. 5. Power ON the control cabinet and measure the voltage. Voltage should be between 115 to Using the Camera Lowering Device Lowering Tool, lower the camera from the pole. The dome should hang freely via a safety wire. 7. Look into the Camera Dome Assembly to verify that the camera and camera lens is all one integrated unit mounted inside the dome and are easily removed and reinstalled. 6 9. Using the Lowering Tool, raise the camera back up to the top of the pole. Camera should latch at top of pole allowing tension to be released from lowering cable. 10. Using a laptop computer, and exercise camera controls for pan left 360. CCTV should complete the command. 11. Using a laptop computer, and exercise camera controls for pan right 360. CCTV should complete the command. 12. Using a laptop computer, position the mouse to tilt the camera down. CCTV should complete the command. 13. Using a laptop computer, position the mouse to tilt the camera up. CCTV should complete the command. 14. Zoom in the camera to 30X optical zoom on an object. The camera automatically focuses the object. 15. Zoom in the camera to 4X digital zoom on an object by an increment of 1X. Camera image automatically focused with each increment. 16. 7 17. Disconnect laptop computer from Ethernet switch, leave CCTV equipment in cabinet energized and close and lock ITS cabinet. CCTV is ready for subsystem test. 10 INTRODUCTION The purpose of this test is to verify that the Managed Field Ethernet Switch (MFES) will comply with the Florida Department of Transportation s Standard Specifications for Intelligent Transportation Systems Section 684. 11 STEP PROCEDURE RESULT EXPECTED RESULTS/COMMENTS 1. Visually inspect the local hub / MFES to ensure the physical construction was completed as specified in the plans and the FDOT Specification Equipment construction was completed per contract documents. 2. Confirm that the MFES is rack mountable. The MFES is rack mountable 3. Confirm that the MFES is fieldhardened at the component level. The MFES is field-hardened at the component level. 4. Confirm that the MFES is capable of MAC address filtering The MFES is capable of MAC address filtering 5. Confirm that the MFES provides a minimum of sixteen (16) 10/100 BaseTX full-duplex local ports The MEFS provides a minimum of sixteen (16) 10/100 BaseTX full duplex local ports Confirm that the MFES is equipped with a minimum of two (2) optical 1 Gigabit Ethernet full-duplex uplink ports for communication with the adjacent switches and for redundant fiber connections. Confirm voltages of power supplies and power circuits are correct for the equipment they will power. Once confirmed, connect devices to power sources. Will verify the power drop is less than 5%. The MFES is equipped with a minimum of two (2) optical 1 Gigabit Ethernet full-duplex uplink ports for communication with the adjacent switches and for redundant fiber connections. (Each optic port shall consist of a pair of fibers. One fiber for transmitting (TX) and one fiber for receiving (RX) data. Confirmation of proper voltages, then apply power to MFES and verification with the Power On Self-Test (POST). 8. Verify local network communications through an ICMP function (ping) as well from a remote host (laptop) connected directly to the MFES. The laptop will verify IP communications by sending ICMP echo request packets to the MFES and laptop will verify an ICMP response. Attachment C ITS Test Plans 11

12 9. Log into MFES with a telnet session or web interface to ensure that the IP address and subnet mask are correct for MEFS under test. MFES will display the correct IP address and subnet mask as defined by the I-75 ITS device list. 10. Verify the quality of cable routing to and from the MFES. Cables are routed in a quality manner, power and communications cables are routed separately Visually inspect MFES to ensure connections are correct. This includes the verification of the communication and power cables as indicated in the Wiring Diagrams and Final Plans, as well as the tightness of the surge protector connections. Verify multicast video streams are transgressing through the MFES using VLC Media Player or approved equal to view video streams. User shall view an available multicast stream from the same network. Equipment is connected to the MFES. LHUB devices and power connections to the MFES are correct. User will successfully launch VLC Software then request multicast streams across and will successfully view video streams without video hesitation or interruption. 15 INTRODUCTION The purpose of this test is to verify that the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Power Distribution Unit (PDU) will comply with the Florida Department of Transportation s Standard Specifications for Intelligent Transportation Systems Section 685. 16 STEP PROCEDURE RESULT 1. Verify that the physical construction has been completed as per plan set, manufacturer specification, applicable standards and contract documents. EXPECTED RESULTS/COMMENTS All the physical construction has been completed as per plan set, manufacturer specification, applicable standards and contract documents. 2. Verify proper labeling of devices, system components and cables. All devices, components and cables are labelled. 3. Verify that the power cable is connected to the UPS and record the voltage Equipment is connected to the UPS 4. Check the status of the UPS by connecting a laptop to the UPS and open the web browser with UPS s IP address to display UPS home page. UPS Home page displayed. 5. Verify the status of the UPS s external temperature, cabinet door alarm. With the laptop display the status of the UPS, SNMP setting, and external temperature. The status of UPS, external temperature and alarm will be generated whenever doors are open and also it will show the alarm when there is failure in SPDs. 6. Verify that the UPS is capable to hold the cabinet s electrical load for two (2) hours by shutting the power off (Turn off time ) and all equipment connected to the UPS remains powered on. Equipment connected to UPS is powered on. 7. Verify that at two (2) hours all equipment connected to the UPS is still powered on. 2-hour visual inspection time. A/C input power is shut off, but equipment connected to UPS remains powered on. 8. 21 STEP PROCEDURE RESULT EXPECTED RESULTS/COMMENTS 1. Connect Laptop to SunGuide Center Layer 3 Distribution Switch via a single CAT 5 Ethernet Cable. Laptop will be able to connect and communicate with all ITS devices on the SunGuide Network. 2. Launch required Control Software on laptop. Software loads and displays on laptop screen. 3. Enter IP address, TCP Port, and Multicast Stream for each camera. CCTV video is displayed on laptop with a high quality image. CCTV responds to PTZ commands. 4. Select the ZOOM Out command and hold it down until the camera has zoomed to wide angle. Good image. 5. PAN Left through one 360 rotation, then stop. The camera completes the command. 6. PAN Right through one 360 O rotation, then stop. The camera completes the command. 7. Select the TILT Up command. The camera completes the command, reaching the upper limit of the dome. 8. Select the TILT Down command. The camera completes the command, pointing directly to the ground below the camera. Attachment C ITS Test Plans 21

22 9. Verify that the automatic day (color) and night (black and white / monochrome) video mode is selected and as appropriate. Verify that video produced by the camera is true, accurate, distortion free, and free from transfer smear, oversaturation, and any other image defect that negatively impacts image quality under all lighting and weather conditions in both color and monochrome modes. Video displayed has appropriate ambient lighting condition. 10. Using the PAN/TILT commands, position the camera to view an object (a sign makes a good target) that is 100-ft to 200-ft from the camera. Select the ZOOM In command and hold in down The object grows larger on the monitor and the image remains focused when testing a camera in the daytime. 11. Re-adjust the camera position using the PAN/TILT commands to keep the selected object in the center of the monitor. Select the FOCUS Near command The image on the monitor should go out of focus. 12. Select the FOCUS Far command. The image on the monitor should return to focus and then go out of focus again. 13. Select the Auto FOCUS command. The image on the monitor should return to focus. 14. Select the ZOOM Out command and hold in down until the camera has zoomed to wide angle. The image will lose some detail but it should stay in focus. 15. Select the IRIS Open command. 23 16. Select the IRIS Close command. The image on the monitor turns dark. 17. Verify correct location of CCTV Camera under test on the SunGuide device map. Map will illustrate correct location of CCTV Camera under test on the SunGuide device map. 18. Disconnect Laptop from SunGuide Center Layer 3 Distribution Switch Test Complete.
