1 Multi-Purpose Camera Tester 1. 2 * Installing the Battery: tester has built-in lithium ion polymer rechargeable battery. The battery cable inside battery cabin should be disconnected for safety during transportation! 1.2 Function interface

4 2. IP Camera Connection 2.1 Connection and Power To test an IP camera, connect IP camera to the LAN port on the right interface. To power up the camera, there are three ways: 1) Using the 12V DC 2A output on the Top Interface.

5 2) Using POE Lan port (same Lan port on the Right Interface). Please make sure battery is connected and have more than 80% charged to power POE LAN port. Meanwhile, check Power Out function (Tool => Power Out => DC power output ON), make sure DC power output is on. After DC output is on, the tester will display 48V ON 3) Connecting a cable from POE Switch into PSE IN on the Right Interface (black box in the picture is the POE switch, it s connecting to tester s PSE IN port.)

6 2.2 IP Discovery LTA-X43M Quick Guide After camera is powered up, both green and yellow lights on the LAN port would light up. Press IP discovery, tester auto-scan the whole network segment IP, as well as auto-modify the tester s IP to the same network segment with the scanned camera's IP. The blue IP dot shown in the following picture is the IP camera that this tester found. Then tester can proceed with either Rapid ONVIF or IPC Test. IPC test cannot control camera s motorized function like PTZ control, motorized lenses control. IPC test is mainly about obtaining live view for the camera. 2.3 Rapid ONVIF In Rapid ONVIF, tester can quickly search camera, auto log in and display image from the camera, activate certain camera and modify IP and control camera s motorized functions. Rapid ONVIF will try to login automatically with the wrong password, which will lock the IP camera. It is highly recommending to disable this auto login function for Rapid ONVIF, you could find this auto login in the Rapid ONVIF setting section (See the picture in the following, second item is auto login).

7 After auto log in is disabled, select IP discovery, find IP camera, choose Rapid Onvif and type in user name and password on the login section (Shown in the following picture highlighted area). Once you login with account, live view would show up. If this testing camera is motorized lenses camera, you could do zoom in/out and focus+/- with Rapid ONVIF by using certain buttons on the tester. 2.4 NVMS 7000 For this NVMS 7000 in the tester, it can activate LTS camera, display image from the camera, modify IP, user name and password parameters.

8 User could add your camera by selecting Devices and + button on the top right corner. For more detail about NVMS, user can refer to the Help icon.

9 3. TVI/Analog Camera Testing 3.1 TVI/Analog Camera Connection This tester can support up to 3MP TVI camera. Connect the TVI camera s video output to the multipurpose tester s TVI IN, power up camera by connecting with DC 12V (shown in the following picture.) Then select TVI icon on the tester main page, the screen will show TVI camera s live view. For Analog camera, connection will be the same process, however user should use Analog Icon on the tester main page to gain live view. 3.2 OSD menu for TVI camera On the live view screen for TVI camera, hold the button OPEN for 2 second, OSD will appeared on the screen. Using arrow keys to control setting parameter. Enter button will not work for OSD, to select, user should use OPEN button instead of Enter.

10 4. Cable and Port Test 4.1 Cable Test. Click on icon CABLE TESTER to enter. LTA-X43M Quick Guide Connect one end of cable to small blue box cable tester 255, the other end to the left side of tester s UTP/SCAN port (shown in the following picture). Then the connecting status, cable type and sequence of wires as well as serial number of the cable tester kit will be displayed.

11 4.2 Port Finder LTA-X43M Quick Guide Connect a network cable to the meter s LAN port, click the icon Port Flashing in the TOOL folder to open the Port Flashing app. Click Start. The IP tester sends a unique signal to make the connected LAN port of the switch flash. If the tester and PoE switch are connected well, the LAN port of POE switch flash at special frequency, If not, no any changes on the LAN port Application: The tester will send special signals to make the connected LAN port flicker at special frequency, which will enable the installers to easily and quickly find the connected Ethernet cable. This function can prevent mistakenly insertion or disconnection non-corresponding cable to artificially interrupt network connection.

12 4.3 PoE Voltage Test Click on icon POE to enter POE voltage measurement. Connect a network cable from a POE switch to the IP tester s PSE IN port. Connect an IP camera or other POE using node to UP tester s LAN port, the POE voltage and the cable s pin connection status show on the screen
