5 1.Installing Content of the packaging The package of the recorder contains a power supply, mouse, disk with CMS software and screws for HDD. HDD is not included. 1.2 Instalation environment. Please intall device horizontaly, on a dry and parky place. Avoid direct sunshine, high temperature, rain etc. 1.3 Inserting HDD Remove the top of device, and connect the HDD to the SATA cable and power supply. Fix it with screws, and check all cables are fitting properly. Put the top back, and always fix it with screws. 1.4 Power supply The power supply is an accessory of the device. Connect properly, ensure that it will not cause fire, or power-cut. In case you want use an other power supply, please be use one with same characteristics (voltage, power), other way you are taking risk of over voltage, malfunction.
6 2. Start Up 2.1 Power-on If everything is connected, please push the button (ON) on the back of the device. If there is no button, the device will automatically start up as you connect the power supply. 2.2 Log In 6
7 To get in he main menu, you need to log in. Check illustration above, framed part is the place of user name, it is admin by default, with this username name all settings are allowed. Letter "a" marks password, it is NULL by default, so you do not need to insert password. Later you can add a security password, it will be explained. (Account 4.4.2) 2.3 Start-up Wizzard As we logged in, here we can make a quick setup. Let`s check it step by step (1,2..) a Tick the square marked with letter a, the wizzard will no longer be prompted. b Press Next (letter b ) 7
8 1. Here you can make general setup, (such as: time, date, language), will be described in Push Next. 8
9 2. Network Test menu, Here in squared part you can see status of the network parameters. If all are green, the device is connected to network properly, if it is red or you want change any parameter, press letter 9
10 "b": Here you reach basic network settings, will discussed in Press letter "a" to redo network test. Press letter "c" to step back to previous menu, press "d" to step to next menu. 10
11 3. Read QR code with smart phone, to download a free application for live view and playback. The app. is available for Android and IOS also
12 Scan QR code instead typing serial number, IP address or ports. To connect by QR code, port forwarding is not needed, this is a P2P cloud function
13 a If you choose this option, the device will search and add all IP cameras (up to channel number) with NETIP protocol, it will give an IP address to all cameras and start record and preview. b If choose this, you can add devices manual, change their IP addresses, search and select IP devices. Press "c" to step to this option
14 Here you can search, add and modify IP devices. A. In squared part you see devices you could add. B. Here are visible the devices which are already added. If you step to any device ( ), in the left-down corner you could modify the parameters of devices. Settings in order abc. a Choose protocol you want to search, NETIP is an own protocol, all VIDEOSEC devices has that protocol, that means. Also can choose ONVIF (2.4), to add other manufacturer`s product or choose both protocols. b Search button, press it to search new devices. 14
15 c Press Add button to add new devices to recorder. d Network, press it to change network parameters (such as IP address) of devices in part A. e Quick set, you can add all founded devices by one press. f Delete all marked devices from part B. g Delete all devices from part B. without marking. h Encode, here could change encode parameters of added devices, such as resolution, frame rate. i Copy any device to an empty channel. j Going up-down in part B. k Change protocoll of added device. l Password of added device. m Choose device type, (example: IPC) n IP channel, used when you add other recorder and you want to choose which channel you want to see from that recorder. It is 1 by default, so you will see first channel, but you can choose any channel. If you want to see more channels from same recorder, add it as many times as many channels you want to see, and then adjust like written above. o Modify IP address of added device. p Modify TCP port of added device. q Username of added device. 15 When all settings are finished, press button Next, for quick access to this menu:

18 a Here you can see which channels are connected, start or stop preview. b Choose split view, (depend on device). c Full screen, no preview icons. d - Manuális kép/képosztás léptetés. e Show / hide all cameras. f Start / stop record on all channels g Add remote device, close view h Any camera could be moved to any window. 3.3 Digital Zoom 18
19 a Press left button on mouse for 2 seconds, then create a purple square as on image above. b Then press again inside the square to get zoomed image. To leave this view, press left button on mouse again Main Menu & Settings
20 Choose the icon of Main Menu These are the six main options in the Main Menu, let`s check them in order of numbers on image above. 20
21 4.1 Record settings Record configuration (Schedule). 21
22 Here we can adjust options of recording, and make a schedule. a Select channel, you can also select all channels. b Manual, this means constant recording. c Redundancy, if you want record same on more HDD-s. d Period of Pre Record, if you choose motion detect. e Stop recording. f Regular (constant) record, or Motion detect, you can choose both. g You can set 4 period on each day on channel, here you can adjust time intervals. h Choose any day of week, you can choose all. i Tick Schedule if you want scheduled recording. j File lenght, adjust how long files want to record. Advanced Settings: k Step to previous window. l Copy settings to other channel (s). m Set all back to default. n Back to desktop. o Paste settings to other channel (s). p Jump to Storage (HDD manage) menu. 22
23 4.1.2 Playback Here we can make playback, it depends on recorder modell how many channels we can playback in mainstream resolution (check in Data Sheets). A. Playback record. B. Here set the parameters of playback. a Choose, from where you want to make playback, from HDD or from USB flash (Backup device). b Choose the date of playback. c Choose channel (s). d Here can see motion detect files C. Handling playback, here can adjust exact time of playback. 23
24 e Playback icons, such as play, stop, resume, fast playback.. f Playback synchronization, all playback will be in same time. g Choose record type: green regural record, red alarm record, yellow motion detect record. h Here you can constrict the time scale of playback Backup 24
25 a Detect, search files for backup b Press it for backup c - "Burning" d Erase files from backup devive e Stop backup f List of files for backup NOTIFICATION: Any type of record from Videosec devices could be backup in universal AVI format. After you made backup, any kind of converting is not needed, as AVI format could be played on any PC, etc.. 25
26 4.2 Alarm setup (Event) Motion Detect 26
27 a Choose channel. b Enable function c Set region of detections, red squares mean actived detection. d Motion Detect Interval. e Choose channel you want to be recorded during Motion Detect. f - PTZ activation g Post. Record h - Attentions i Activate tour during Motion Detect. j Set record periods: Here we can make schedule for motion detect, adjust time periods. As it is visible on image above, green squares mark set periods. 27
28 1 Choose any day of week. 2 There are 4 periods for each day each channel, you can customize time intervals. 3 As seen on picture, here you see set periods, marked with green. NOTIFICATION: The device always record during motion detect by default. k Sensitivity of motion detect. NOTIFICATION: The advanced settings are same as in section Video Blind, setting is same as in section Video Loss, setting is same as in section Alarm Input, setting is same as in section
29 4.2.5 Abnormality a Choose event type, such as: No HDD, HDD error, HDD full. b Enable function. c Attentions: Show message, Buzzer, Mobile application report, Send . 29

31 4.3.1 General setting a Choose timezone, it is UTC by default. b Set date and time. c Enable and DST, summer time and winter time. d Time format, 12H, 24H. e Choose language, there are over 20 languages: 31

33 4.3.2 Encode settings a Choose channel, empty ch. could not be set. b Choose resolution. c VBR (variable bit rate) - recommended. d Bit rate, could be set only with CBR (constant bit rate). e Audio / Video recording on main and substream. f - "I Frame Interval" g - VBR quality, (highest recommended) check bit rate, and parameters of your network. h Frame Rate (Frame / secund). i Compression algorithm. 33
34 4.3.3 Network parameter settings a Enable DHCP (Dynamic IP address) b Subnet mask. c - Primary DNS. d - Media port, (TCP). e Tranfer Policy (Quality prefered recommended). f Give IP address. g Set network gateway. h - Secondary DNS. i - HTTP port. 34
35 4.3.4 Network Services NOTIFICATION: Check marked icon on image above for settup network services. a - PPPoE. b - NTP: Network Time Protocol: 35

37 NOTIFICATION: Press Mail Testing button, and if everything is set properly, device will send you an . d - DDNS setting: 1 Choose server 2 Enable function 3 Give custom domain name. 4 If you are already registered on a choosen DDNS server, give username and password. 37
38 e - FTP setup 1 Enable function. 2 Server address/ip address. 3 - Port. 4 - FTP usename, (if no, choose anonymous ). 5 - FTP password, (if no, choose anonymous ). 6 Max File Lenght, add it in Megabytes. 7 Add directory name NOTIFICATION: Press f - UDNP g - RTSP: 38
39 1 Enable function. 2 Set port. g - Cloud function: This function is enabled by default, does not need additional modification. NOTIFICATION: This function provides free access to your device from web browser ( and from mobile application (vmeyeipc) without forwarding ports from your router. Only need to give serial number, username and password of device. Browser access ( : h PMS setting 39

42 4.3.5 Display setup a Channel title: Give name to any channel. b Informations want to be displayed: Time Display, Channel Title, Anti-dither, channel display, Alarm status, Bit rate info c - Transparency 42
43 d Output resolution (VGA, HDMI) RS485 Setup (PTZ) RS232 (Soros port) Generally, this function is used only for service. 43
44 4.3.8 Tour a Enable function. b Choose channels you want to set for tour. c Interval of tour during the motion detection. d Return to previous view after alarm. e Interval of tour by default, during observing. 44

46 46 a Choose channel. b Enable IPC timesync, device will refresh time of IP cameras. c Here you see choosen channel (s), coul make modifications (IP address, gateway). d Add new device (Before you have to check network parameters of device you want to add) e Delete devices from section c. f Advanced settings (check section 4.1.1) g Decode Order h Connection mode (you add more devices to one channel, choose multi-link ). Press button OK for save and exit.
47 Channel status Check status of each channel, here only can see informations, no option for setting. 47
48 Channel type Here you can adjust what kind of channels you want to have on device (both AHDR, NVR). Let`s see NVRs for firts, as lower resolution you need, as more cameras you can add: Depends on model which options you have in this menu. NOTIFICATION: If you choose for example 1080p resolution, you also can add camera with higher resolution, but than you will lose some channels. Squared part: Here you can see how many channels you have in playback and preview in choosen resolution. As more channels you coose in same resolution, as less channels you will have in playback and preview. 48
49 AHDR (TRIBRID AHD recorder) channel type menu: NOTIFICATION: All AHDRs are Tribrid devices, so you can add analog (D1) and IP cameras also. Here you can adjust how many IP, analog and AHD cameras you want to add in choosen resolution. a - AHDH (1080P) resolution, 8 or 4 channels. difference: 4 channel 25fps, 8 channel 12fps. b AHD IP (1080P) mode. c AHD IP (720P) mode. d IP - IP (720P IP P IP) mode. NOTIFICATION 2: Analog cameras (D1) could be added in any AHD mode, device will recognize CVBS automatically, setting is not needed. 49

51 4.4.1 Storage a Read/Write. b Read only. c - Redundant (If there are more than one HDDs). d Recover HDD. f - Partition. 51
52 4.4.2 Account setting Here you can adjust. 1. Yellow Squared part: shows all accounts and groups which are already set. Tick square marked with red ring, for choosing account. Red Squared part: Default accounts, could be modified, could not be deleted. 52
53 a Modify User: 1 Choose user 2 Modify username 3 Reuseabale (If delete, could add it again) 4 - MEMO 5 Choose user group, any group could be choosen, here you also can adjust authority of group. NOTIFICATION: Default user`s authority could not be modified. 53
54 b Modify user group: 1 Choose group 2 Modify group name 3 - MEMO Tick square marked with red ring to enable all Authorities Adjust one by one authorities to customize group 54
55 c Modify password 1 Choose username. 2 Type in old password. 3 Add new password and confirm it. d Add user (new) 55
56 1 Give a username 2 Reuseable (If delete, could add it again) 3 Add password and confirm it. 4 - MEMO 5 Choose group, and adjust it if necessary e Add group (new) 1 Give group name 2 - MEMO 3 Adjust authorities. Later adjustment could be done if it is enabled in authority, with admin user you can always adjust f Delete user (default users could not be deleted) g Delete group (default users could not be deleted 56
57 4.4.3 Online Users a Shows users connected on device remotely. b Press disconnect to ban user. 57
58 4.4.4 Output adjust (VGA/HDMI) Auto Maintain Device will reboot automatically in set time. Will not loose warranty if disable this function. a Modify time of reboot or disable it. b By default, device will not delete old files, if choosing custom, you also can set after how many days to delete. 58
59 4.4.6 Restore (Default) a Tick square if want to select all. b Adjust which setting you want to set back to default. NOTIFICATION: Restore could be done only if user have authority to do it. (for example: ADMIN) 59
60 4.4.7 Upgrade (firmware) a Choose data holder (USB flash). b Choose file for upgrade. c Press Upgrade button to start process. FONTOS: On one data holder you can leave more firmwares, because anyway you have to choose the needed file before upgrade. Before upgrade be sure that you have choosen a proper file, for further information ask for technical support. 60
61 4.4.8 Device Info Here you can see all important parameters of device, and also can make some settings: a - Max. playback channel. b Adjust how many channels want playback at same time, could not be more than maximum. c - PTZ (RS485) enable. d - RS232 (soros port) enable. 61
62 4.4.9 Export/Import of Config an LOG files. a Choose data holder (USB). b Export LOG files. NOTIFICATION: Could not import LOG files. c - Export CONFIG files. d Import CONFIG files. NOTOFICATION: If you are sending back device to service, making upgrade or want to save all settings after instalation please export and save the config file, it could be usefull in of loosing settings. 62

65 4.5.3 LOG files a Choose type of LOG files b Set time, from which period you need files. c Turn page. d If delete LOG files, it will be seen in LOG files, this LOG could not be deleted. e Here can see all files. f Search files. g Clear files. 65

69 1 Choose Auto mode for AHD and TVI cameras 2 Choose CVI mode for CVI cameras NOTICE: CVI cameras are working ONLY if you choose CVI mode. Modes are adjustable for each channel. 6.2 Channel type setup XVRs are also able to handle 4 Megapixel Coaxial cameras. Check this menu, to be ensure the right option is selected. 69
70 NOTICE: For adding IP cameras, choose the suitable mode in this menu, according to the resolution of IP cameras. For encoding capacity and IP modes of different recorders check data sheet of the selected recorder. 6.3 Coaxial Control XVRs have extended option of coaxial control, check it here: Press right click, than choose Coaxial Control menu 70
