The system is mainly used in production lines such as punching, laminating or die-cast lines and also for rewinding processes. Depending on the application, the modular design of the test cell allows to use digital camera equipment in b/w or colour versions and with different resolutions. The linkage of image processing computers with PCI express bus technology and digital camera technology enables high processing speeds for complex tasks both in the transmitted light and reflected light sectors. From the classic dimensional check in relevant areas to the comprehensive contour control for sporadic errors as well as the recognition of surface defects the user can fall back on a wide range of test functions for his product control. In case of an error detection the system can be individually parameterised. The production machine can be stopped or bad parts ejected or marked. Together with the integrated servo strip drive the precisely adjustable strip guide provides a smooth transport of the punching strip through the test cell. A continuous test run is ensured by the loop sensor DHS 801 which, in connection with the drive, makes for an automatic loop control. For the process connecting only the signal clutch ON/OFF from the press and also the connection to the machine stop circuit is required. In addition to our standard model VVC 620 there also a compact version VVC 620/C, a driveless version VVC 620/L and a double cell for extra space requirement are available. For continuous labelling (on-the-fly marking) of production parts the VLM 600 laser marking cell from our product range can be integrated into the production line. The VIDEOcheck System VVC 620 is mounted in a functional sheet steel casing with swing doors. It displays information regarding the current test job and also offers various partly system-specific possibilities to parameterise the test routine or for the configuration of the test system. In the field of image processing we rely on the new Windows-based Coake 7 vision software. The graphic interface guides the user through the operation and allows a fast and easy configuration of the desired test jobs. In this context Coake 7 can handle all methods of image processing metrology, contour tracking and surface inspection which are common in the industrial environment. And due to powerful subpixel algorithms even measuring accuracies in the μ-range are possible. Of course, VIDEOcheck VVC 620 systems can also be integrated into a network to programme test routines externally, e.g. from your workplace, or for a centralised management of programme data and measurement values.
