1 CALCULENS Software for LAS Opto-Alignment Technology, Alignment Software, Calculens : LAS users can align, cement and bond lenses confidently with the user-friendly optical centration measurement software Calculens which is integrated into the turnkey LAS system. Easy to learn and use. Practical. Reliable. WHAT S NEW IN CALCULENS for 2013? Calculens Assembly - Measure accurate submicron TIR values by reflecting from top and/or bottom surface of lens. (Green circle represents operator assigned tolerance zone.)
2 Calculens 3D Plot the centers of lens curvatures in 3D. Measure separate tilt and decentration values. Calculens Inspection - Measure TIR of embedded lenses inside a finished lens stack. (export limited) Linear autofocus to the desired surface reflection. Calibration Utility: LAS now can be calibrated simply by following interactive step by step instructions on the Calculens screen. Print final result. Self-documenting ISO compliant. New precision grade calibration optics further increase accuracy and reduce process steps. Download lens data from your Zemax design to Calculens or enter lens specs manually. Automatic centroid capture with option for manual click or crop. Graphic tolerance zone for easy centering to spec. Units conversion (English, Metric, Linear or Angular) with original unit retention for calculations Full glass index selection with option for custom index entry Gas index: In addition to vacuum now air and nitrogen can be selected Linear autofocus to the desired surface reflection.
3 Calculens 2.6 software introduced automatic centroid detection and tolerance zone marking, that improves speed and repeatability of TIR measuring. A brand new calibration utility was also introduced that features step by step instructions via interactive software. See below. For faster data input, the user can import ZEMAX files into CalcuLens. CalcuLens provides the user with non-contact and instant sub-micron measurements for any lens surface, including cylindrical, aspheric and parabolic lenses with coated or uncoated surfaces. It accommodates radius of curvatures from ±2.0mm to infinity. CalcuLens allows assembly personnel to save and forward alignment results to design or engineering personnel at any time during assembly. It comes with a customizable index of refraction library, converts between English, metric and ISO/DIN units and generates printable QA and calibration reports. See calibration example below.
