Security and control are the main objectives to be able to offer the businessman comfortable and practical solutions. After more than five years we are present in more than 10 countries internationally with over 4,000 vehicles fitted with our systems. 2 2. PRODUCT EXPLANATION The surveillance cameras system is composed of several cameras inside the taxi. Those cameras are recording everything by a digital video recorder on board. 3. GENERAL DESCRIPTION Video recorder with several cameras to record the bus from the inside with GPS integrated. There are many extras which can be included: 3G modem (for Internet access), input modules (for sensors connection), panic button, driver s display, etc. We mainly distinguish between two kinds of taxi driver: Individual owners / self-employed Independent systems which are managed from the taxi. View recordings is possible through the SD card removal and on the Internet (if Internet connection). Taxi driver who belongs to a group (cooperatives, associations, radio stations, etc.) The vehicles are connected on the Internet to the central office which offers several services. The main objective is to guarantee taxi driver safety, therefore there is a panic button which can be used by the driver when risk situations. When pressing the button, the central office will receive an alert and from there it will be possible to know the driver position through the GPS system as well as see the vehicle through the cameras. In the European Union to record public areas is not allowed, however it is allowed in the majority of countries. 4 How to measure the quality of the cameras? Recording quality From Evoluziona Seguridad we offer maximum recording quality equipment. The analogic cameras system has D1 quality level, equivalent to 720x480 pixels. In addition we have digital hybrid recorders with 16 channels (up to 16 cameras) which have IP cameras with 1280x720 pixels resolution. Cameras quality Another way of assessing the cameras quality is by measuring the horizontal television lines (TVL). All our cameras work with 700 lines, one of the highest quality that you can currently find in the market. There are many other aspects that should not be forgotten as for example: lens angle, how the devices work with low illumination conditions, anti-vandalism features, humidity and waterproof protection, etc. Real time transmission via Internet In addition to have all recordings available in the recorder, it is possible to watch the video in real time on the internet. Having this application requires a 3G or 4G router. The playback images on the Internet will be slower than playback images through a display directly connected to the recorder. Image leaps can happen because of coverage changes. The image quality transmitted on the Internet has a CIF format, while the recorder quality is D1. GPS function Our video recorders have GPS integrated, therefore the position coordinates are available next to the video. The vehicle position is shown via Google maps. Alarm inputs There are 6 alarm inputs and 4 outputs which can be connected by an external module. Those are mainly used to control vehicles information. All collected information will be stored in the DVR (video recorder) next to the video and the GPS coordinates. In case of Internet connection, it is possible to receive real time notifications of the alarms. Comfortable and quality software We offer three different software adapted to needs: - Software NOA (direct management of positions, video, alarms, recordings, etc.). - Software ALDO (viewing download recordings). - Software Auto download (automatic information management when vehicles arrive to the garage by Wi-Fi). Only a few countries like Costa Rica can have unlimited data services by mobile operators. The video s utility on the internet is thought to check time to time (sporadic checking). TECHNICAL INFORMATION Hardware The hardware is made to be installed in vehicles for several reasons; aluminum, heat resistance, vibration impacts, small size, etc. It can be connected from 8 to 30 volts. It requires a single power connection in the taxi. The cameras will be connected to the DVR. The electric current can be regulated from 5 to 12 Volts, it depends on the external devices. Software The management software functioning is designed to operate with dynamic IP. The equipment are connected to our server, and users access to them by the server. In this way we can continuously offer improvements without changing the equipment s firmware. Communications Dynamic IPs It is not necessary to have a fixed IP per car, this will lead to a substantial communications-saving. Monthly consumption Data flow as GPS coordinates, alarms and events, takes up very little space, it may represent a maximum of Mb per month. Nevertheless the video recordings take up a lot of space. Details of consumption can be found below, to let you calculate an approximation of the monthly consumption: Mb = 350 min = 6 hours per month per vehicle to display - 1 GB = minutes = 16.6 hours per month per vehicle to display Transmission speed The viewing speed via Internet depends on the network coverage and equipment quality. We can offer up to 3-4 images per second on the Internet, while we offer 25 images per second for viewings which are directly connected to the video recorder and those being stored. 5. MAIN APPLICATIONS The equipment can be used in taxis as well as in any other vehicle as business cars. The system is usually applied in radio taxis or grouping in order to have a greater control and efficient vehicles management from the central office. Individual taxi drivers often use this system in order to increase safety. Groups of self-employed taxi drivers contract this service in order to coordinate themselves and work efficiently. In these case the service contracting will be individual (not as radio taxis, grouping, cooperatives, etc.), but you can consider joint purchase therefore we will offer you a special set price. 6. FAQs Does the GPS include the Operation Aid System (SAE) functions? No, the GPS has a security approach. Therefore the positional coordinates will be available with the video. I already have a GPS installed in the taxi, why do I want another? Our DVR with GPS integrated offers you the possibility to view the recordings next to the positional coordinates at any time on the Internet. By this, you may verify facts without any risk of confusion. 8 I already have a GPS router in my vehicle, I can transmit the signal from my GPS system to your router 3G? It is possible if your computer can be connect to the network (Internet) either by net tap or 485, and your network provider let us know the necessary information. The information flow between both systems will only require a SIM card. Why do the images on the internet leap? The viewing speed via Internet depends on the network coverage and equipment quality. We can offer up to 3-4 images per second on the Internet (CIF as maximum quality), while we offer 25 images per second for viewings which are directly connected to the video recorder and those being stored. Can I place hidden cameras and audio recording? In EU it is not allowed, in other countries it is usually afforded. Please, review your country specific national regulations. Is it obligatory to place posters of "video surveillance zone"? In Europe it must be placed, in other countries it depends on the national legislation. How long does the guarantee last?
