2 Micro Motion R-Series meters Micro Motion R-Series meters offer highly accurate flow measurement for virtually any process fluid. R-Series meters feature tegral transmitters, makg them easy to stall. With MVD Technology, you can also remotely mount your transmitter up to 1000 feet (300 m) away usg standard 4-wire cable. You get the flexibility you need to mount the sensor anywhere your process pipg while savg stallation costs. Micro Motion R-Series meters are available to support several digital communication protocols, cludg HART, Modbus, FOUNDATION fieldbus, and Profibus-PA. Other features clude a variety of standard process connections, milliampere and pulse outputs, a standard display, and a built- totalizer that can be reset from the display. Micro Motion R-Series meters are designed to perform harsh operatg environments, and carry hazardous area approvals for the U.S.A., Canada, Europe, Japan, and other areas around the world. For fluids with density other than 1 g/cm 3, the volume flow rate equals the maximum mass flow rate divided by the fluid s density. All specifications for liquids are based on reference conditions of water at 68 to 77 F (20 to 25 C) and 15 to 30 psig (1 to 2 bar), unless otherwise noted. (3) When flow rate < (zero stability / 0.005), then accuracy = ±[½(zero stability / flow rate) 100]% of rate and repeatability = ±[½(zero stability / flow rate) 100]% of rate. Pressure drop is dependent on process conditions. 5 Gas flow performance When selectg sensors for gas applications, measurement accuracy is a function of fluid mass flow rate dependent of operatg temperature, pressure, or composition. However, pressure drop through the sensor is dependent upon operatg temperature, pressure, and fluid composition. Standard and normal volumes do not vary with operatg pressure, temperature, or density. With knowledge of density at standard or normal conditions (available from reference sources), a Micro Motion meter can be configured to output standard or normal volume units without the need for pressure, temperature, or density compensation.
