2 2 BODAS Display DI3/DI3 Video Look Ahead... and Behind High Resolution BODAS Display from Rexroth From forklift trucks to large excavators, Rexroth offers the BODAS DI3: a state-of-the-art high-resolution color display to enhance the flexibility and control of mobile machines. It provides fast and easy adaptation of all displayed information to any application, using overlay technology to display functions and video on a single screen. It supports direct connection to two external video cameras, covering both the work area and reversing, and utilizes a clearly readable 640x480 VGA display format to help every operator work more safely and productively.

3 Product Features and Software Tools 3 User-Friendly Handling The BODAS DI3 is user-friendly and easy to learn: a rotary knob and six large illuminated and configurable function keys make moving between different screens a snap. It supports multiple applications, including driving and operating status display, system parameterization, and diagnostics. Ergonomic Design Ergonomics played an important role in the design of the display. The 640 x 480 pixel color display, featuring low-reflection glass and an integrated sun visor, provides a high-resolution (VGA) image. Dual backlighting ensures good visual contrast so that the screen is easy to read in all operating conditions. Further, an integrated graphics chip makes the 6.5-inch display well-suited for displaying dynamic images such as a tachometer. The DI3 can be used as a replacement of conventional dashboard indicators, as well as being installed as an additional standalone unit in the driver s cab. Robust and Durable Like all Bosch Rexroth Mobile Hydraulics products, the DI3 is rugged. It s engineered to operate in extreme ambient temperatures (-30 to +85 degrees Celsius) and fulfills requirements with regard to leak tightness (resistance level IP65), shock, vibration, moisture, salt spray and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). In add ition, the internal real-time clock is separately buffered against interruptions to the power supply. Safe and Multi-Functional The DI3 can be used as a diagnostics and parameterization tool in combination with BODAS controllers RC. In many cases this eliminates the need to connect a PC based service tool for maintenance and service. For security, password protection prevents unauthorized use of diagnostics and parameterization functions. Customize Your Interface With the BODAS DCT (Display Configuration Tool) software tool, Rexroth provides a Windows-based user interface for easy and customerspecific configuration of: Graphic display pages (dashboard) Parameterization and diagnostics pages Dialogue boxes Alarm messages Events for communication Video display (only DI3 Video) The DCT package doesn t require any specialized programming knowledge just a click of a mouse or drag-anddrop lets you build the screens you want. User-defined bitmaps, such as company logos or vehicle images can also easily be integrated. This makes it very simple to create manufacturer, application and even vehicle-specific display designs. In addition, the BODAS DCT library lets you choose from a range of predefined standard operator graphics, e.g. indication gauges, bar graphs, icons, text fields and dialogue boxes. 5 Application Options 5 The BODAS Display: Everything at a Glance BODAS DI3 for the dashboard The BODAS Display DI3 can be used as a display instrument and operators interface. It can be integrated in the control panel or be mounted, using separate fixtures, separately within the cab, to supplement existing equipment controls. Video Monitoring for Safer Working Areas and Reversing The BODAS Display DI3 Video system makes it easy to incorporate up to two external video cameras into the display system, for safer and more efficient mobile operations, such as reversing or monitoring the workspace around a vehicle. CMOS sensor technology and high-quality optics mean the BODAS cameras provide a high-quality, distortion-free image which can be seen under the most adverse, direct sun conditions and can be mirror-imaged when needed. Video overlay technology makes it possible to view the video images either full screen, or condensed into userdefined screen windows.
