7 ORDERING PROCEDURE A. It is generally accepted that for a small fee most Safety Companies provide the facility of paying the Optician their dispensing fee and invoicing the Purchasing Company for both the dispensing fee and spectacles. The cost for this service is absorbed within the postage/administration fee. B. This three part order pad contains two yellow copies and one white copy. The white copy is retained by the Purchasing Company. The two yellow copies are taken to the Optician by the employee. Each order has an individual order number which can be used for administrative purposes and is shown on the returning advice/invoice note. C. A frame model should be indicated by the Purchasing Company along with colour. The employee s name and an internal order reference can also be inserted on the order. Your personal account number should also be indicated. It should also be noted that it is the Purchasing Company s responsibility to indicate the material the prescription lenses should be made from, in relation to the grade of impact resistance required. D. After completing the written order, the Optician forwards the two yellow copies to a Norville Safety Location. E. The Norville Safety Location retains one of the yellow copies, returning the other along with the completed spectacles to the stated optician along with a cheque for any dispensing fee, and certificate of conformity. F. Alternatively, your optician may be able to supply both their professional services and spectacles direct. Pricing shown for Prescription Safety, Office/VDU complete spectacles are within a range of / sphere with opposite cyls up to Higher powered lenses are available at an extra charge (see Supplementary Charges). 2. Unless otherwise stated at time of ordering, it is normal practice to ensure correct optical centring by working prism, wherever this is necessary, at an additional charge. 3. All Polycarbonate and Trivex lenses are supplied with an anti-scratch coating as standard. This coating can also be supplied with CR39 plastic lenses at an additional charge (see Supplementary Charges). 4. Our Progressive Lens pricing caters for the use of standard front surface progressives: Continuous Focus (CF) and Image, we also now include Ultor HD Digital Progressives in our offer. For all other requirements, please revert to The Norville Ophthalmic Lens Catalogue for pricing. 5. Other lens types are available in most safety prescriptions. Pricing reverts to normal Glazed Prescription Price List. In most cases a Norville Safety Location can give quotes before proceeding if required. 6. All prices based on the use of 70/72mm lenses or minimum standard diameter where applicable. 7. A certificate of conformity is issued with each complete pair of Protective Spectacles being supplied. Two copies are produced, one should be kept by the Optician, the other should be kept by the end user or purchasing company. Removal of side shields will immediately invalidate this certificate. The certificate is valid for 24 months under normal wearing conditions. Metal frames can be re-glazed at the end of this period with a further 24 months certification being issued dependent on the condition of the frame. 11
