Introduction: Overview: In order to simplify operation of GSM products manufactured by Sikom AS, downloadable applications are made for iphone smartphones.

2 Introduction: Overview: In order to simplify operation of GSM products manufactured by Sikom AS, downloadable applications are made for iphone smartphones. The purpose of these applications is to format text messages for a given GSM product so that the user no longer has to remember the syntax of SMS commands. NB: Apple does not allow applications to send or receive text messages on their own. Therefore the user must transit through the standard imessage application when it comes to actually sending and receiving messages. These applications are offered free of charge (messaging costs excluded). Compatibility: The apps are compatible with iphone 4, 4S and 5, with operating system ios 6.1 and later. Installation: Open «App Store» on the smartphone. Search for GSM Mini, and download the application, which will be installed automatically. The application requires no special permissions. Costs: The application itself is offered free of charge. This is an optional service to our customers. There will be costs associated to the sending of SMS messages composed with this application. Rates depend on the GSM operator and the kind of subscription chosen by the client. Each SMS composed by the application corresponds to exactly one text message. There are no hidden costs. Alarms or status messages sent by the remote switch to the smartphone are normally charged on the SIM card inside the remote switch. The resulting costs are therefore the same as when SMS messages are sent manually. 2

Configuration and use: Settings: Before using the application, please take some time to perform the required settings. This is necessary only once.

The application uses these settings each time a command is composed.! Start the GSM Mini application.! Touch the Settings tab on the bottom of the screen.! Touch the text field labeled Access code and input the 4-digits access code to GSM Mini. NB: this is the code that is required each time an SMS is sent to GSM Mini.! Touch the text field labeled Phone number and input the number corresponding to the SIM card inside GSM Mini.! When completed, touch the Switching tab on the bottom of the screen. Overview of tabs: The screen has four tabs: Switching, Security, Settings and About. The Switching view provides all choices that are available when operating GSM Mini. The Security view enables you to change the access code of GSM Mini. The Settings view shows data that are kept between each use of the app. The About view gives some useful addresses. 3

4 Operation: Touch the Switching tab to operate GSM Mini. This view offers access to 5 relays. Touch the relevant relay to display available choices. Operation:! ON Turns the output on (constantly).! OFF Turns the output off (constantly).! Hours On Turns the output on for the specified number of hours, then off again.! Minutes On Turns the output on for the specified number of minutes, then off again.! Seconds On Turns the output on for the specified number of seconds, then off again.! Seconds Off Turns the output off for the specified number of seconds, then on again. NB: It has no sense to select more than one of the above choices. When selecting the Hours On timer, it is not necessary to simultaneously select On. The output will then be turned on for the given number of hours (1-99). The same applies to the Minutes On timer. The resulting commands are shown in the text field near the bottom of the main screen. Other commands may progressively be added to the final SMS message. When all choices are made, and any change of access code has been added through the Security tab, you can press Send SMS. You may turn off the Request status switch if you don t want any status message. If you just want to ascertain the current state of the output socket, you can request the current status without adding any other commands to the message. When you press Send SMS, the message will be transferred to the standard imessage application, where you can confirm or cancel the sending. After that, the message Message sent resp. Message cancelled will appear as the GSM Mini application comes back in view again. 4

5 Security: The Security tab offers just one option, which is to enable changing the access code of the remote GSM Mini power socket. Security:! New access code Input your new 4-digits code into the text field. NB: When changing the access code, remember to adapt the corresponding field in the Settings view. When all settings are done, touch the Switching tab to send the resulting command to GSM Mini. 5
