This manual can be used for at least the following phone types: SIP-T48G, SIP-T46G, SIP-T42P and SIP-T41P. It can also be used for other phone types, for example the SIP-T21P. The contents of this configuration manual is restricted to those settings that specifically relate to the gntel platform. For a general guide containing all possible features and settings of the phone, we refer to the general User Guides as provided by Yealink. Note: manual changes that are made using the web interface, will only become active if the CONFIRM button at the bottom of the page is pressed. The screenshots of Yealink webinterface pages that are used in this manual are based on a T41P phone, with firmware version gntel Configuration manual for Yealink phones version 1.01 June

8. Manually setting specific functions a) Settings for BLF (Busy Lamp Field) and Call Pickup Left and right of the phone screen there are programmable buttons (on a T41P phone, with the help of the browsing facility, 15 buttons can be programmed). A busy lamp (BL) enables an employee to see if a colleague is available, and to make an instant phone call to this colleague (direct station select, DSS). Busy Lamp is used for Phone Accounts, not for Free-seating Accounts. In the web interface, go to DSSKey. Set up a Line Key for BLF usage like this: Type: BLF Value: <Phone account>, the Phone account for which monitoring by BLF is needed. Label: name of the colleague; this is shown in the phone screen, next to the Line Key Extension: **<Phone account> (enables call pickup). Here, <Phone account> refers to the same Phone account as below Value. There are 2 possibilities for answering an incoming call towards the phone of a colleague: Pickup for calls that are incoming at a specific colleague This possibility exists if the employee has a BLF button programmed (as described above) that refers to the colleague. The call is answered by pressing the BLF button on the phone of the employee. Pickup for calls, incoming at a Phone account that is a member of a pickup group See below: Group Pickup. gntel Configuration manual for Yealink phones version 1.01 June

b) Group Pickup Group Pickup is using a Line Key to pickup a call which is incoming at a colleague that belongs to the same pickup group. Configuring a pickup group requires the delivery of a customerspecific service by gntel. By default, gntel uses the internal number 899 for group pickup, unless the customer or partner requests another internal number to be used. To program the Line Key: in the web interface go to DSSKey and apply the settings: c) Settings for ringtones In the Yealink phone, the default ringtone is Ring1.wav. The default can be changed at Settings Preference. Here it is possible for the parameter Ring Type to choose one of the other ringtones from the standard list. There is also the possibility to have for internal calls a different ringtone than for external calls. In order to configure this, go to Settings Ring. Now for internal calls select a ringtone that differs from the default, for instance Ring6.wav. gntel Configuration manual for Yealink phones version 1.01 June

By using a customer-specific service from gntel, it is possible to also specify a unique ringtone for other distinctive calltypes, using for example the string alert-special. This requires that in the web interface of the phones, this Internal Ringer Text alert-special is combined with a specific Internal Ringer File, which should be different from the ringtones that are already used (for example Ring3.wav, see screenshot below). d) Indication of receipt of a voic The indication that a voic was received, is the blinking of the red LED in the upper right corner above the screen, combined with a pop-up in the screen stating the number of freshly received voic s. This feature requires a number of settings. In the PI the voic box is coupled to the Phone account, see Phone account detail (screenshot). The Account code is the Phone account (number), the Voic box is identified by a 3-digit number. In the web interface of the phone the following five parameters should be set correctly. In the web interface go to Account Advanced. Settings: gntel Configuration manual for Yealink phones version 1.01 June

If at Features Notification Popups the parameter Display Voice Mail Popup is set to Enabled, the phone screen will display the number of received voic s. Listening to voic s is started by initiating a call to the number On the Yealink phone (not the web interface) the setting can be made that pressing the voic button, the button with the envelope on it at the right hand side of the phone, will result in calling the number On the Yealink phone, go to Menu Message Voice Mail Set Voice Mail and enter as Code: If the end user calls 1233, the system will ask for the number of the voic box and the pincode of the voic box. e) Remote Phone Book To make it possible to use a remote phone book, needed is a list in xml format with on each line: name, external number; also possible is: name, speeddial number, external number. The URL that the end user must use to download the external phone book ends with:... /YealinkRemote.xml. The following setting makes the external phone book accessible from the Yealink phone. In the web interface go to Directory Remote Phone Book. Fill in: Remote URL = the URL that the end user should use, Display name = phone book name in the screen of the phone. gntel Configuration manual for Yealink phones version 1.01 June

f) Disabling the presentation of missed calls If the end user doesn t have the need to see the missed calls, this feature can be disabled as follows: in the web interface go to Account Basic. Here the parameter Missed Call Log can be set to Disabled. 9. Changing the password Changing the user password and the administrator password for the Yealink phone can be done as follows. 1. In the web interface go to Security 2. For the parameter User Type either select admin for changing the administrator password, or user for changing the user password 3. Now type: old password, new password, confirmation of the new password 10. Yealink videophone This manual is primarily targeted for the Yealink SIP-TxxP/G phones for making voice calls. For Yealink videophones, like the T49P or the VP530 (with firmware version ), the same settings can be used as for audio only phones, and in addition some settings for video calls. Note: there is no autoprovisioning available for the VP530. gntel Configuration manual for Yealink phones version 1.01 June

The main additional points of attention for the Yealink videophone are: Settings for making video calls: In the PI: 1. In the list with Phone Accounts, after the account that needs to be checked, click Advanced configuration 2. Verify if, apart from the voice codecs, also 1 or more video codecs are enabled. If this is not the case, then ask gntel Support to activate the video codecs. In the web interface of the phone: 1. For each account that is in use: set the enabled video codecs; go to Account Codecs and verify for this account (ID to be seen on top of the web page) apart from the Voice Codecs also the separate table with Video Codecs Remark: down below the web page which is reached via Account Advanced there are ranges specified for H264 Payload and MPEG4 Payload. It is recommended to stay within the specified ranges. gntel Configuration manual for Yealink phones version 1.01 June
