Monochrome Printer/MFP Line of the Year Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. won BLI s Monochrome Printer/MFP Line of the Year award for the Winter 2016 test season for its Exceptional reliability, with 1,015,000 pages printed since 2012 with just one misfeed recorded and no service required. Robust feature set across the product line, including open architecture, availability of an Android touchscreen on some models and an array of mobile print tools. Strong value proposition, thanks to impressive performance and low cost of ownership. Based on the collective strength of its printer products, Samsung has won BLI s Monochrome Printer/MFP Line of the Year award for the fourth time since A testament to their excellence, all 12 Samsung monochrome printers and MFPs tested by BLI in recent years earned an overall rating of Highly Recommended with 11 going on to win a Pick in their respective category. The Samsung Mobile Print App app, which won a BLI Summer 2012 Pick, lets users easily use their mobile device to print to, or initiate scanning or faxing from, the MFP Samsung NFC technology, which won a BLI Outstanding Achievement in Innovation award, lets users easily connect mobile devices by tapping their NFC-enabled smartphone to the NFC tag on the printer and provides a secure connection separate from the corporate network Powerful Productivity Keeps Workflow Moving The Android-based control panel, offering exceptional customization and ease of use, is another example of Samsung pushing the boundaries of what an imaging device can be, said BLI Senior Test Technician Tony Maceri. 5 About BLI Pick Awards Twice a year with its Pick awards, BLI gives special recognition in each category to those products that provided the most outstanding performances in BLI s exhaustive lab tests. Its Outstanding Achievement awards acknowledge products or capabilities that stand out for attributes such as innovation, usefulness, energy efficiency or value. BLI s awards stand alone in that they are based on a rigorous battery of lab tests that takes approximately two months to complete. The evaluation includes an extensive durability test, during a portion of which each unit is run at the manufacturer s maximum duty cycle. BLI s durability test is unique among office product evaluations and uniquely qualifies BLI to assess reliability, a critical factor for buyers and IT directors.
