3 Introduc on Objec ve This user manual is intended to acquaint and assist the user with va's ACE, a Tele-ECG system. User instruc ons, warng and cau on no ces may carefully be noted for safe and effec ve opera on of the ut. 1.2 Specifica on Principle Bio-poten al sensing by surface electrodes. It does not lead to any harm or discomfort to subject/pa ent. It has all the safety features provided by IEC Operator should however make sure that the ba ery charger is disconnected from the mains before using the ACE on the subject/pa ent. 2.1 Safety Regula on In order to ensure correct use of machine without any risk, all precau ons and warngs should be carefully followed. Refraing from this may cause damage to machine and can be risky to the pa ent/operator. To receive informa on on the service system and on preven ve maintenance contracts, please contact va Electromedicals. Before using the machine, the user must check the machine for proper func on. Par cular a en on must be paid to a visual check of LEDs. 2

5 The manufacturer and installa on personnel disclaim any responsibility on the opera on in the following cases: Ÿ Spare parts have not been replaced with original spare parts like Ba ery, Charger & ECG Cable. Ÿ The equipment is not used according to the safety regula ons. Ÿ 2.2 Electrical Safety & Shock Ÿ Check the mains supply before connec ng the device for charging. Ÿ Before connec ng other accessories make sure that the power supply is disconnected and usual precau ons have been taken. Ÿ During all service opera ons that require the disconnec on from electric power, pay maximum a en on to electric shock risks. Ÿ WARNING: DO NOT USE THE DEVICE WHILE CHARGING. Ÿ 2.3 Ÿ The electric system of the rooms where the device is charged should comply with the safety regula ons. Ground Protec on Ÿ 2.4 Environmental Condi ons Ÿ The temperature of the room for the perfect working of the equipment is in the range of 15 C to 50 C. 3

6 Ÿ Humidity must be non-condensing and in the range of 10 % to 98 %. Ÿ 2.5 Cleang Ÿ Stop the machine before any cleang opera on. Ÿ Clean using co on cloth and non-abrasive cleansers. Ÿ Do not use orgac solvents or agents containg any kind of solvent. Do not use aerosols (sprays), as the cleanser must not in any circumstance enter the device. Ÿ To sterilize the surfaces, aldehyde-based solu ons mixed with water are recommended. Ÿ 2.6 Usage Cau on Ÿ Ensure that your android mobile/laptop is connected to the right ACE device by verifying the Serial No. 4

System Configura on 3.1 Tele-ECG Configura on Tele-ECG machine can be interfaced with the applica on so ware installed on Mobile (android)/laptop via Bluetooth. 3.2 Tele-ECG Machine 1 Bluetooth Indicator (RED LED) Charging Indicator (LED) 5 Power Button ON/OFF Indicator (LED) Battery Charging Reset Button

8 Refer Fig. (a), (b) & (c): 1. Bluetooth Indicator (LED) - Starts blinking once it is ready to connect and turns OFF once it gets connected. 2. Charging Indicator (LED) - Turns Red while charging & turns Green when charged fully. 3. Ba ery Charging (USB Port) 4. ON/OFF Indicator (LED) - Turns Green when Power Bu on is pressed & held for 5 secs and Red when ba ery is low. 5. Power Bu on For switching the device ON / OFF. 6. Reset Bu on If the device hangs then press Reset Bu on with pin. 6

9 3.3 Electrode Placement 12 lead ECG is recorded by placing 10 electrodes, comprising 6 chest electrodes and 4 limb electrodes as shown in following figure. Six chest electrodes are numbered as V1 to V6. They are posi oned in specific posi ons on the rib cage. V1and V2 are placed on the right and le side of the sternum respec vely in the fourth inter-costal space. The posi on for V4 is in the 5th inter-costal space, in line with the middle of the clavicle (mid-clavicular). V3 sits midway between V2 and V4. V5 is placed in the 5 th intercostal space in line with beginng of le axilla. V6 is placed in the same intercostals space in mid axillary line. Limb leads are placed on the four extremi es right arm (Red), le arm (Yellow), right leg (Black) and le leg (Green). 7

10 3.4 Applica on For Mobile STEP 1: Press & Hold the Power Bu on of the Tele-ECG Device ll the ON/OFF LED turns Green & Bluetooth LED starts blinking at constant rate. STEP 2: Click on ACE Tele-ECG app in your mobile to get the following page. Click here to load previously saved ECG. Click here to take new ECG. 1 lead 3 leads 6 leads 12 leads OK 8

11 STEP 3: A er clicking on New, the applica on will ask for Bluetooth Connec vity. 12CH. TELE ECG wants to turn on Bluetooth. Deny STEP 4: Once the device gets connected via Bluetooth (verify serial number of the device), the 9

12 STEP 5: Click on the OPTION to get the following options. Mode: Two Modes are available, ECG & Test mode. Select ECG mode to take new ECG OR Test mode to check proper func ong of device. Filter: Adjust the filter frequency range if required (By default it is set to 0150 Hz). Gain: Adjust the gain if required (By default it is set to 6 equal to conven onal gain of 1). Back to Main Page: It will redirect you to first page 10

13 STEP 6: A er selec ng the Mode, Filter & Gain, click on START to get the following screen (Test & ECG respec vely). You can stop acquisi on a er 13 seconds by clicking STOP. STEP 7: Select Generate Report by clicking on OPTION. 11

14 STEP 8: Proceed to Save the ECG Report by following the steps Save Data as... ECG Report can be saved in Image/PDF/Text IMAGE PDF DATA IN TEXT FILE OK Do you want to set password to pdf file? NO You can protect the Report with password. YES Fill in the Pa ent Details & click on Save. 1

15 Do you want to insert comment? (Upto 155 characters) Insert Comment if required. NO YES View Report? NO Click Yes to view Report. YES 3.5 Applica on For Laptop STEP 1. Turn on Bluetooth, Add ACE Tele-ECG & Pair it. ( Click on START Se ngs Devices Turn on Bluetooth Add Bluetooth or Other Devices Bluetooth, now following screen will appear ) 12

16 STEP 2. Check the ports from Device Manager. (Click on START Type Device Manager in search box 13 Ports )

17 STEP 7. Fill in Pa ent Details, adjust the system se ng accordingly and click SAVE. STEP 8. Lead Status will indicate if any of the lead is connected/not connected. Red Indicates lead not connected (reconnect the lead and proceed further) & Green indicates lead connected. 15

18 STEP 3. Open Tele-ECG App on Laptop. STEP 4. Insert the port no. and connect. STEP 5. Instrument connected successfully (Ensure that the Bluetooth Red LED turns OFF in Tele ECG device, else try with another port no.) STEP 6. Click on SETTINGS. 14

19 STEP 9. Click on START. STEP 10. Click on STOP & then on REPORT (Mimum ACQ Time to generate Report is 13s) STEP 11. Print/Save ECG Report STEP 12. You can send this report to the expert by or WhatsApp or any other media sharing service for his opion.
