2 A Licensure Path "A" NAAB Accredited Degree 60-months education experience Initial Required Experience: - NAAB Accredited Degrees -- 5-year Bachelor's of Architecture (B.Arch) -- Master's Architecture (M.Arch) -- Candidate will receive 60-months education experience for one of the above degrees * Page 1 of 2 * Candidate must have completed one of the two degrees noted above Arizona Board of Technical Registration Process AZ Step 1: - Candidate files application with Arizona Board of Technical Registration (AzBTR) [4-page application + fee] AZ Step 2: - Candidate requests degree transcript (completed degree) be sent by University directly to AzBTR * - Degree transcript cannot be sent by the candidate AZ Step 3: - AzBTR reviews candidate's licensure application (application & degree transcripts) AZ Step 4: - AzBTR sets candidate's eligibility date - Authorizes candidate to begin taking the seven Architect Registration Exams (ARE) Continue to AZ Step 5 IDP Step 1: - Candidate files application with NCARB begins the Intern Development Program [on-line - Candidate may file with NCARB as early as the freshman year of a NAAB accredited degree IDP Step 2: - Candidate submits work experience to NCARB via IDP's electronic Employment Verification Report (eevr) - Candidate may retroactively document up to six months work experience via eevr - Candidate must report work experience in a maximum of six-month increments to NCARB IDP Step 3: - Candidate completes IDP by fulfilling the program's 5,600 experience hours (distributed across 16 experience areas) - Candidate shall request NCARB to transmit IDP council record to AzBTR Continue to IDP Step 4 Intern Development Program (separate from AZ process)
