In 2013, manufacturing employees earned an avg. of $78,991 in salary and benefits, while nonmanufacturing employees earned an average of $66,584 meaning that there is a 20% percent premium for working in manufacturing. ~ U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics & U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis Manufacturing means jobs.
