This cost-effective concept creates flexibility where needed: The FTU and NT remain in place for years to come, whilst allowing an easy upgrade of the RG whenever required. 3 Universe Fiber Termination The Universe fiber termination unit is the foundation for all of the Genexis Hybrid products. Based on a universal interface, it has been designed to enable a swift installation and to fully utilize the capabilities of fiber. It reduces installation cost and optimizes the customer s ease of use. The Universe is the most versatile and complete fiber termination unit on the market. Intelligent Fiber Management The core of the Universe is its intelligent fiber management system. Based on patented technology, it offers the most versatile, safe and user-friendly fiber management ever seen in a fiber termination unit. 4 Element Network Termination The Element network terminator is the heart of the Hybrid product family. It marks the demarcation point of the network, based on a full Gigabit interface. It translates the optical signal into tangible services via the Live! residential gateway. The Element network termination layer is available for all modern network architectures, including Point-to-Point Ethernet, GPON and WDM-PON. Element Masque For scenarios where the Element is being installed without a Live! unit, the Element Masque can be clicked on top. The Masque acts as a cover and protects the Hybrid connector, smoothens the design and can be used for customer-specific branding. The Hybrid Interface The Hybrid Interface is the essential part of the Hybrid solution. This interface is the bridge between the Live! services module and the Element network termination module. It enables the end-user to activate services with one simple click. The Live! is fully compatible with every Element network termination module, and can be installed and replaced by the end-customer with one simple click. The intuitive installation of the Live! makes an expensive visit by a technician unnecessary, resulting in a significant saving on cost. Live! Support With Live!
