9 4. NEW AND ENHANCED BUSINESS FEATURES - SV8100 R3 4.1 Virtual Extension With Park Hold A call to a virtual extension which is set as Land on key stays on the key when answered, key is now busy. The Virtual Extension call can then be put on Park Hold to allow retrieval from other devices Benefits Allows virtual extension to act closer to a physical extension operation Requirements Training Course Required 4.2 Hotdesking with CTI Connection From SV8100 R3 it is possible to hotdesk on DT700, Desktop Suite and MH240 phones when 1 st or 3 rd party CTI connections are established. Prior to this version if an attempt at hotdesking was made the following error would be displayed :- Rejected Override >>> CTI Link... EXIT By default in SVV8100 R3 this function is off. It can be enabled on a per extension basis using Programming Command Override mode for CTI All rights are reserved. Reproduction whole or in part is prohibited without the written consent of the copyright owner. 9 of 36
10 Once enabled if a hotdesking attempt is made it will override the extension that is currently using that extension number successfully. Important: This feature can only work correctly with phones of the same type and number of keys. Hotdesking different phone types will cause errors and cannot be supported Benefits Allows more flexible working for DT700 series users Requirements DT700 Series phone Training Course Required 4.3 All VoIP resources Busy Alarm If there are no VOIP resources when making an IP call VOIP All DSP Busy is shown on the DT700/DT300 display. Also an entry now appears in alarm logs. No programming required Benefits Allows the customer to see reason for failed called. Also allows engineer to check usage. Potential upsell of IPLA Requirements PC Programming V3.0 (optional for PC pro alarm reports) Training Course Required 4.4 Paging Unicast Pre V3.00 SV8100 paging was performed to IP Phones as a Multicast (1 to many). This allowed the SV8100 to use only one IPLA resource. However this is not supported by all WAN configurations. For these configurations it would be necessary to use unicast (1 to 1). This uses a IPLA channel for each IP Phone paged. From V3.00 SV8100 it is now possible to select the communication protocol for Paging function per phone as : Multicast, Unicast or Automatic (PRG CMD ). All rights are reserved. Reproduction whole or in part is prohibited without the written consent of the copyright owner. 10 of 36
11 Automatic makes a selection based on the IP address. Uses multicast for all IP phones on same subnet as the IPLA and unicast for all IP Phones not on that subnet Benefits Gives greater compatibility with varying LAN/WAN architectures. Allows for most efficient use of IPLA resource Requirements Training Course Required 4.5 VRS Auto Attendant Fall over to any number If an incoming trunk call is answered by InMail VRS, and the user does not dial, dials incorrectly or the destination is busy, now any internal/external number can be used as the fall over. Previously it could only be routed to a Ring Group. Fallover is to Speed-dial number and uses whatever number is in the abb-dial store (bypasses the trunk access/intercom setting in PRG CMD ) therefore can allow extension number, group number put 9 or 0 on for trunk seize, etc in PRG CMD Copyright 2008 NEC Philips Unified Solutions B.V. All rights are reserved. Reproduction whole or in part is prohibited without the written consent of the copyright owner. Exclusively for use by NEC Philips channel partners 11 of 36
12 4.5.1 Benefits More flexible routing from the InMail VRS menu SV8100 R3 Software Requirements Training Course Required N/A 4.6 InMail as Centralised Voice Mail It is now possible to use the InMail as a Centralised Voice mail for SV8100 s working in Feature Networking Mode. The configuration for Centralised Voice Mail will be different at the system with the voice mail installed compared to the system(s) that do not have it installed, see the example below. 13 Centralised Voice Mail Pilot - Enter the Pilot Number that a user at any system within the network can dial to access to Centralised Voice Mail. Note - The pilot number must be within the network numbering plan. This setting must be the same at all systems within the network. Centralised Voice Mail Department group - Enter the Department group number that contains the InMail ports or SLIU ports connected to the voice mail system. (You should also ensure that this Department group does not have a pilot number assigned in Department Group Options). This setting is not required at any system(s) within the network that do not have the Centralised Voice Mail installed. Centralised Voice Mail Master Name - Give the Centralised Voice Mail a name that will be shown at the display keyphone while accessing the voice mail. NSL Protocol - required for softkey integration. Centralised Voice Mail Type - Required to be set to 'enhanced' if InMail used for voic . Example of Centralised Voice Mail Configuration System 1 has the voice mail system installed that will be used as the Centralised Voice Mail, the ports will be assigned to Department Group 64 and the CVM pilot number will be 600. System 2 will be configured to access the voice mail at System 1. System 1 (VM Installed) System 2 Department Group Assignment Group 64 Department Group Assignment None Voice Mail Department Group 0 Voice Mail Department Group None Department Group Pilot Number Group 64 = None Department Group Pilot Number None Centralised Voice Mail Pilot Centralised Voice Mail Department Group 600 Centralised Voice Mail Pilot 64 Centralised Voice Mail Department Group 600 None Numbering Plan Dial 6xx = Extension Numbering Plan Dial 6xx = Networking System Access Benefits Allows more cost effective and easier implementation of Voice Mail in a FeatureNet environment Requirements Training Course Required 4.7 IP DECT Integration In SV8100 R3.0 a new integration method is available, this allows all DAPs to belong to one IP duplication group rather than an IP Duplication group per DAP as previously configured. 14 Refer to SV8100 SIP DECT Engineers Guide for full details on configuration Benefits The new integration allows more than 250 DECT extensions (previously calculated by 25 registrations per DAP x 10 (number of IP groups). The DAP still limits registrations to 25 but now can have as many DAP s as required. It allows for resilience, as handsets automatically re-register to another DAP if registered DAP goes down. Allows for remote location working Requirements Training Course Required 4.8 Abbreviated Dial Store access for DECT terminals A DECT handset user can now search a telephone number within the common abbreviated dialing (ABB) /speed dialing (SPD) tables within the SV8100.
