It can be reverted so 1 antenna can be switched to 4 different transceivers. The switch comes in two modules: WiFi Control Module and Connector/Relays module. The switch module can be mounted on a box, separate from the connector module for convenience and safety. Once the module is configured and acquires an IP address, commands can be sent to its IP address and port 9999 to switch between the inputs. The TCP command is the numeric value of the switch to turn ON The module features a reset button, clear settings, flash switch for re-flashing the firmware if needed and a serial TX and RX terminals for optional configuration, communication and monitoring. It requires a fairly good quality 5VDC power supply and 200 ma. Control the switch with iphone app AntennaSwitch, a simple TCP command or a web browser. Report status of the switches via a simple html command The firmware can be updated through the internet connection

2 WEB CONFIGURATION Connect the 5V power. Press the board reset button. Blue LED will flash regularly. From your computer, check available wireless networks and connect to a network which name has the form STT41AS1_xxxxx When prompted, enter the password to the STT41AS1_xxxxx. The preset password is espadmin. Wait for a successful connection (Figure 1). If your computer refuses to connect, reset the board and wait 30 seconds to 1 minute to allow your computer to refresh the WiFi network list From your web browser and after, the switch is connected, type the following: When prompted, enter the SSID name and password of YOUR WiFi network (the wifi you want the module to connect to) and the desired port (9999 is usually a good one), see Figure 2a and success response on Figure 2b The Blue LED will stop flashing and turn solid Blue Reset the module and wait for the Blue LED to turn solid Blue. TO FIND THE IP ADDRESS RESET THE BOARD STT41AS Figure 1 Figure 2a Figure 2b Once the module has acquired an IP address the access point name changes from STT41AS1_xxxxx to STT41AS1_C_xxxxx From your computer, check available wireless networks and connect to a network which name has the form STT41AS1_C_xxxxx If prompted, enter the password to the STT41AS1_C_xxxxx. The preset password is espadmin. Wait for successful connection (Figure 1) From your web browser and after station is connected, type the following: where n is either 80 or the port number you selected previously (usually 9999) Troubleshooting: Figure 3 If your computer cannot find the WiFi network STT41AS1_xxxxx or fails to connect to it, reset the switch and wait at least 30 seconds before attempting to connect again. If connection still fails, reboot your computer and try again. If connection still fails, you will need to try using a different computer or mobile device and follow the same steps. If you still cannot get a connection, contact support@snaptekk.com The IP address of the board will be displayed in your browser (Figure 3)

3 OPERATING THE SWITCH Switching the outputs Once the module is connected to your wifi network and the Blue LED is ON, open a web browser window and type the following: where: xxx.xxx is the IP address assigned to the module by your router p: is the port selected above n is a number between 1 and 8 and indicates which switch number should be ON, all others are turned OFF. (You will only use outputs 1 to 4) Getting the status of the outputs Once the module is connected to your wifi network and the Blue LED is ON, open a web browser window and type the following: where: xxx.xxx is the IP address assigned to the module by your router p: is the port number The module will display the status of the outputs in the web browser window with the following format: { Status :{ 0, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0 }} Note that the first (left) digit represents the state of output 1, the last one (right) represents the status of output 8 CLEAR SETTINGS If you need to change the WiFi network the switch is connected to or change the port number, you will need to clear the module settings. Follow these steps to clear settings: Reset the module. The red LED will turn on. Within 5 seconds, press and release the clear settings button. Wait 10 seconds. Reset the module. All settings are cleared. The blue LED will start flashing. You can go back and follow the configuration steps and reconfigure the switch.

4 CONNECTING THE MODULE The switch module switches ground, so you must connect one of the outputs and the +5VDC to your relays. Follow Figure 4 below to interconnect the WiFi Control Module and the relays. Figure 4

5 CONNECTION SPECIFIC TO WIFI ANTENNA SWITCH If you have purchased a WiFi Antenna Switch, connect the 8 Position WiFi Switch module to the Antenna Switch Connector/Relay module as shown on Figure 5 below. Although the control module has 8 outputs, you will only use 4 for the Antenna Switch. We recommend using outputs 1 to 4 for compatibility with the iphone app. The unused outputs can still be controlled remotely using the procedure explained before. GND +5V +5V GND Figure 5

6 FREE IPHONE CONTROL APP ON APPLE STORE, V3.0 ANTENNASWITCH A free app to control the antenna switch is available on the Apple Store, just search for AntennaSwitch and download. The app is very easy to use. Type the IP address of the antenna switch on the Settings screen, for example To obtain the IP address of the antenna switch, follow the configuration instructions above. Make sure you don t leave the out. Press return on your iphone keyboard (screen) To switch between antennas, just slide the respective switch on the Antennas screen. Only one antenna can be active at any time. To retrieve the status of the switch at any time just press the blue Status label on the Antennas screen. A green dot means that switch is ON, a red dot means it is off. A grey dot means the phone failed to communicated with the switch and you should go back to the Settings screen, place the cursor in the Module IP Address text field and press return. (Status reporting is optional) The app may disconnect after a period of time, you need to go back to the settings screen, place the cursor on the Module IP address text field and press return and you are ready to send commands again. NOTE: The iphone app only works if you are using outputs 1 to 4.
