The unit is used in various applications such as Paper mills, Power Applications (direct high voltage input), mobile applications in trains, cars, military vehicles and general purpose fault finding where people have to combine signals from different sensors and sources. The Universal amplifier support software allows selectable high level Strain Gauge, ICP, Temperature, Voltage or Current high bandwidth inputs. Synergy Portable integrates a maximum of 16 transient channels (2MS/s) and streaming capability (unlimited storage at 200KS/s on all 16 channels) with optimized time and frequency domain performance. The unit doesn t compromise in channel count nor in streaming capability. With the expansion possibility to unlimited channel count combined with its distributed storage architecture the unit can stream on ALL 64 channels at 200KS/s continuously! This is un-known in the industry. Also ALL channels can act as a transient channel capturing transients at 2 Mega Samples per second. With the built in Universal signal conditioning input module the user can select via the operating software for analogue, strain gauge, ICP or temperature input signals. High Speed signal Capture Satellites, Ultra-Sound, Ballistics and Rocket engine Saturn Tower Transient Recorder For fast and accurate data acquisition such as ballistics and rocket engine tests the Saturn offers a fast and flexible transient recorder with ultra long memories (1GB). The system can run full speed for minutes while the Saturn system captures the data for hundreds of channels in parallel. The hardware is flexible to adjust to the needs of the test. The modules operate either in 100,000,000 Samples / second in a single channel fully differential mode at 14 bits resolution or can be set-up the module in a quad mode (4 differential channels operating at maximum sample rate of 25,000,000 S/s). If these speeds are too fast you can go for the 16 channel module with maximum speed of 1MS/s and sample as slow as 1 S/s. With handy bit enhancement DSP code the resolution can be enhanced up to 24 bits depending on the used sample rate. The Saturn comes in two rack versions. The full 19 inch version that has 15 free module slots for a maximum of 240 channel (16 channels per slot). The Tower model with 6 free slots can hold 96 data acquisition channels. Saturn 19 Inch Mainframe Transient Recorder For dedicated High Power Measurement (up to 1 MV) a special digital fiber cable isolated transient recorder has been developed in conjunction with major Test labs over the world. Fully featured with ultra fast (100MS/s@14 bits) signal capture capability and friendly operating software the Saturn system is the worlds first 100 MS/s digital fiber isolated transient recorder. 5 FOSystem: Fiber optic isolated probe with signal conditioning The FOsystem is a complete set of instruments for convenient fiber optic transmission of different types of analog signals from a variety of sensors. The FOsystem allows easy implementation of fiber optic transmission to solve noise, safety, and signal quality issues in high-voltage measuring environments and other demanding conditions. The signal bandwidth covers DC up to 10MHz. The FOsystem can be placed as a front-end of any data acquisition system capturing the isolated signals. Transmitters are available in different variants, including, for instance, versions for adjustment to piezoelectric pressure transducers or displacement/ position transducers. 6 CAESAR Datensysteme 6 Ceasar Datensysteme, based in Munich (Germany), was founded in 1986 with the focus of developing, producing and marketing user-friendly computer aided test and measurement systems for research and development. Since then CAESAR has gained significant reputation as one of Germany s leading suppliers for automotive testing systems. In cooperation with other high-tech partner companies, CAESAR offers a wide range of high-grade measurement systems for all kinds of applications in the development areas of the automobile, aviation and other machinery industry. The 1-Channel Telemetry System J1 enables stable and reliable measurement of Torque, Temperature, Voltage, Pressure, and signals from ICP sensors up to 2.5 khz. Output is available in analog voltage and as an option CAN bus output. smallest single channel torque measurement device Steering Wheel Measurement system Steering wheel can be adapted to any car For driving experiments, the vehicle steering wheel is substituted by the CL series measuring steering wheel with integrated sensors and electronics. The steering wheels are speciallly designed for experiments regarding endurance, comfort and handling by measuring steering torque, steering angle and angular speed wirelessly using telemetry technology from Caesar. A truck version (200 Nm) as well as a normal vehicle version (80 Nm) are available. As an option, the steering angle acceleration and linear accelerations in all three directions on the end of the steering wheel column can be measured. Even EPS programs for active stability control are supported and remain in use. Steering wheel measures wireless Telemetry WFT are Water Proof Wheel Force Transducers (WFT) Caesar offers a complete family of 6-components wheel force transducers for all vehicle sizes from compact passenger cars up to heavy trucks. Slip-ring systems as well as wireless telemetry systems are available for immediate data transfer from the rotating wheel to a stationary data acquisition. Caesars WFT s are based on telemetry and therefore they are water proof, shock proof and easily mountable (10 minutes per wheel) and due to the universal adapter concept they fit to almost any rim size! 7 QIC modules can be placed inside the engine compartment In-Vehicle Test (QIC CAN Bus Devices) The ultra small CAN Bus based measurement devices that operate in extended temperature range (-40 C to 125 C) are called the QIC modules. They comprise not only of high precision amplifiers and ADC for signal conditioning but also the necessary excitation for the sensors. All channels have galvanic isolation from one another and from the test object. Specific modules for the acquisition of temperature signals, strain gauge, Analogue, Universal, Digital / counter are available. The units communicate via the CAN Bus and data can be logged to a Laptop, General data acquisition device with CAN input, QIC logger or PDA. QIC modules are IP67: water, dust, extreme temperature proof High Speed Train track monitoring For train wheel force measurement and rail way track monitoring Caesar released the second generation high speed train wheel force transducers with up to 32 channels of strain gauge conditioning. With the new generation the transducer is mounted outside the wheel and has been tested for over 50,000Km without failure. A large percentage of the testing has been carried out at speeds exceeding 380Km/h. The unit is designed and tested for speeds over 500Km/h. Railway track testing at full speed (max 500Km/h) QIC-MINILOG: The QIC-MiniLog is a very flexible QIC CAN family module type. It can be used in two ways. First as a bridge between one or two CAN Busses and a PC USB port for real time display, recording and processing applications. Second, by the use of a standard SD Memory Card plugged-in, it can become an extremely compact, stand-alone, Black Box data logger for streaming simultaneously several hundreds of Mbytes of vehicle Can Bus information and data acquisition measurements collected by CAN instrumentation. Start logging automatically after power-up R2 Axial 1-Channel Telemetry: The R2 Axial Telemetry System is a rugged, waterproof axial unit for collecting dynamic measurements from rotating wheels and shafts. The wheel mounted rotor-unit includes signal conditioning for strain or thermocouple sensors. Signal and power transfer is contact less, data being transmitted optically and power inductively. No batteries and no routine maintenance! Typical applications include automotive powertrain and brake system testing and development. The fully sealed environmental housing and extended operating temperature range make it particularly suitable for off-road and winter testing in arduous conditions.
