3 DS 350/330 display and data logger Flexible interface to SCD / PLC DS 350 offers flexible options to connect to a PC, PLC or SCD system. switch CSus Modbus/TCP DS 350/330 supports Modbus/TCP for integration to existing factory automation or SCD systems. lternatively the CSus protocol can be selected for connection to CS Instruments software CSM-M/S. RS-485 RS-485 is a common fieldbus communication in industry, due to it s simple 2 wire (plus GND) bus topology, it s long achievable distance (uop to 1000 m) and wide popularity. RS-485 Modbus/RTU y selecting Modbus/RTU protocol on DS 350, the RS-485 network can be connecte directly to a Modbus-Master device (i.e. PLC or DS 350 with Modbus-Master). US CSus CSus Modbus/TCP Profinet /Devicenet In this case RS-485 is converted to US through a RS-485 /US converter ( ). This option is used when connecting up to 16 DS 350 through RS-485 to a PC using the software CSM-M. In this case RS-485 is used to bring the network to the n ext access point for and is then converted through a gateway ( ) to. Choose this option when using the software CSM-M/S. In this case RS-485 with Modbus/RTY protocol is converted to Modbus/TCP through a gateway ( ). Choose this option when connecting to a Modbus/TCP-Master. We offer various gateways to popular fieldbus protocols. esides these gateways DS 350 will soon have integrated fieldbus stacks for different protocols. Please contact our customer service for latest devlopments. larm indications Data logger Each DS 350/330 inlcudes a limit value monitoring. When limits are reached an alarm is indicated through 2 relay outputs or through optical indication (red flashing display). DS 350 includes a data logger with almost unlimted memory. The standard 4G SD-card provides enough memory for 100 million values. It supports the recording of up to 100 channels. The recorded values can be downloaded through US, RS-485, or simply by moving the SD-card

4 Software for DS 350/330 DS 350/330 can mesure and record all relevant data of a compressed air system stand alone. No need to have a computer connected at all times. Whenever alarms are reached alarms indications wil be issued. However in times where energy conservation is a top priority for all progressive enterprises, the measurement of flow rates, consumptions and compressor power is becoming more and more important. In order having a complete picture of the gas and compressed air consumption in a factory a permanent monitoring, an graphical/statistical analyzes and a convenient reporting is required. For this purpose we have developed a software which is doing just that: CS-Monitor. The server is collecting the data from DS 350/330 either online or through a download of the recorded values from time to time. The clients can display the values and do data analyzes and reporting.
