10 Sepam Series A1 Instruction Bulliten 05/2007 Commissioning Installing the Battery Installing the Terminal Block Identification Label Energizing Install the battery (supplied) in its housing in accordance with the polarities indicated. A label showing the rear panel of Sepam and terminal assignments comes with each base unit to aid in installing and connecting Sepam and the MES120 input/output modules. The Sepam supply voltage must be 24 VDC to 250 VDC. After the Sepam relay is turned ON, it performs the following initialization sequence that lasts approximately 8 to 12 seconds: 1. ON and LEDs switch ON, "Sepam" displays on the screen. 2. LED switches OFF. 3. watchdog contact picks up. The phase currrent metering screen displays at the end of the sequence. Diagnosis At the end of the initialization sequence, the LED should be OFF. If the LED is flashing, a minor fault has been detected. Sepam is operating in downgraded operation. Check the connection of the MET1482, MSA141 and MCS025 modules. If the LED is steadily ON, a major fault detected. Sepam is in fail-safe position. Check that the CCA634 or CCA671 input connectors are plugged in Check the connection of the jumper between terminals 19 and 20 of connector E (DPC, Detection of Plugged Connector function) If the LED is still not OFF, refer to the "Maintenance" chapter of the operating manual. If the "LOW BATTERY" message displays, verify the battery is correctly installed (check polarity). Setting Parameters with SFT2841 Passwords The SFT2841 parameter setting and operating tool allows the user to: prepare Sepam parameters prepare protection and control function settings transfer the parameters and settings into Sepam Sepam has two 4-digit passwords: parameter setting password, which allows entry of all general parameters and protection settings protection setting password, which only allows entry of protection settings Passwords Default Values Personalized Values Parameter Setting 0000 Supplied by user Protection Setting 0000 Supplied by user Schneider Electric.
