9 For WB-380H Install the lower pillar into the base using the four (4) screws. For WB-380P Install the lower pillar into the base using the four (4) screws. Assemble the top hea isplay into the lower pillar inserting the cable into lower pillar. Connect the cables insie the bottom of the lower pillar. Connect the cable insie the bottom of the lower pillar. Attach the back cover an the front cover as shown. Attach the back cover an the front cover as shown. Push all the way own assemble the top height ro to the lower height lo opening on the pillar. 9

10 5. Functions Automatic Power Off This equipment has an automatic power off function that automatically turns off the power in orer to reuce battery consumption. If the isplay oes not change for 30 secons, the power will be automatically turne off. 6. Set up Flat an stable location Position the two (2) ajustable supporting feet on the base until they just make contact with the floor. Angle Ajustment 1) Fully release screw knob on the colum. 2) The inicator coul select at 90-egree 2 positions be sure to screw it tightly after setting the position. 10

11 7. Power supply AC aapter AC aapter is much preferable when the scale will be use continuously. For WB-380H, WB-380P 1) Plug on the AC aapter. Insert the AC aapter jack into the DC Jack on the back of the pole. 2) Insert the connecter into the DC Jack on the back of the inicator. For WB-380S <Back sie> Plug on the AC aapter. Insert the AC aapter jack into the DC Jack on the back of the inicator. Batteries For WB-380H, WB-380P For WB-380S 1) Pull up the battery case which locate on top of isplay. 2) Ensure that the batteries are inserte with the correctpolarity. 3) push own the battery case completely. 4) Unplug the DC connecter on the back of the inicator. Caution Unplug the DC connecter.or the scale wouln t work. 11

12 8. Operation ON ZERO 1. Stanar Weighing Proceures ON 1) Turn on the power by pressing the key. ZERO 2) After all the segments flash, [0.0kg] is isplaye. 3) The person to be weighe shoul still in the mile of the platform. 4) The weight will be locke-in an isplaye on the isplay. (Hol) sign will appear in the upper left corner of the isplay. When the scale is connecte to an external evice, weight ata will be exporte at this time. 5) The scale will automatically shut off in 30 secons. Note: Do not press the possible. ON ZERO key while staning on the scale, as accurate measurement will not be ON ZERO 2. BMI Weighing ON 1) Turn on the power by pressing the key. 13 10. Measuring height proceure For WB-380H The user shoul step on the platform without wearing shoes for accurate measurement. Always have someone assist the user for accurate measurement. 1) Ajust the Height Ro Arm position before the user steps on the platform. Place han on the Height Ro Arm. If the subject is taller than 120 cm, pull the Height Ro Sliing Block an Height Ro Arm at the same time upwar so that the arm is positione higher than the subject s hea. Correct way to hol the Height Ro Arm If the subject is shorter than 120 cm, move the Height Ro Arm own. Incorrect way to hol the Height Ro Arm To avoi anger of breaking or coming loose, you must hol the height ro arm securely. 2) Gently lower the Height Ro Arm until the Height Ro Arm touches the very top of the user s hea. 3) Rea the measurement. If the subject is taller than 120 cm, rea the number just above the top of the Upper Pillar Column (see example #1). 14 11. Output ata format This section covers the exporting of ata from the scale to an external evice (e.g. PC) using a RS-232C an USB compliant signal. RS-232C an USB interface are for ata OUTPUT ONLY! This scale is not capable of receiving instructions from an external evice. Troubleshooting If you are concerne that the scale may not be functioning correctly, please check the following point before requesting repairs. Problem Check Points Nothing is isplaye when is presse. ON ZERO key Check the connection of the AC aapter jack to the DC jack, an the connection of the AC aapter plug to the power outlet. The batteries may be weak. Try an AC aapter or new LR6 (AA) batteries. Check the terminals of the batteries for contamination Batteries Unplug the DC connecter on the back of the inicator. Lo is isplaye. The batteries are running out. Please replace them immeiately or use the AC aapter. Measurement is not accurate.
