The instrument has one relay output an one input for PTC or NTC temperature probes. 2 7 - Le SET : Inicates the input in programming moe an the programming level of the parameters. It also serves to inicate the Stan-by status. 2 - PROGRAMMING 2. - PROGRAMMING OF THE SET POINT Press the key P then release it an the isplay will show alternating with the set value. To change it press the UP key to increase the value or DOWN to ecrease it. These keys increase or ecrease the value one igit at a, but if the button is presse for more than one secon the value increase or ecreases rapily, an after two secons presse, the spee increases even more to all the esire value to be reache rapily. Exiting the Set moe is achieve by pressing the P key or automatically if no key is presse for secons. After that the isplay returns to the normal function moe PARAMETERS PROGRAMMING To access the instrument s function parameters, press the key P an keep it presse for about secons, after which the SET le will light up, the isplay will visualise the coe that ientifies the first parameter. Using the UP an DOWN keys, the esire parameter can be selecte an pressing the P key, the isplay will alternately show the parameter coe an its setting that can be change with the UP an DOWN keys. Once the esire value has been set, press the key P again: the new value will be memorise an the isplay will show only the coe of the selecte parameter. Pressing the UP an DOWN keys, it is possible to select another parameter an change it as escribe. To exit the programming moe, o not press any key for about 20 secons, or keep the UP or DOWN key presse until it exits the programming moe PARAMETER PROTECTI USING THE PASSWORD The instrument has a parameter protection function using a passwor that can be personalise, through the PP parameter. If one wishes to have this protection, set the passwor number esire in the parameter PP. When the protection is working, press the P key to access the parameters an keep it press for about secons, after which the LED SET will flash an the isplay will show 0. At this point, using the UP an DOWN keys, set the passwor number programme an press the key "P". If the passwor is correct, the isplay will visualise the coe that ientifies the first parameter an it will be possible to programme the instrument in the same ways escribe in the previous section. Protection using a passwor can be isable by setting the parameter PP = PARAMETERS PROGRAMMING LEVELS The instrument has two parameter programming levels. The first level ( visible parameters) is accesse accoring to the proceure escribe above (with or without passwor request) while the secon level ( hien passwor) can be accesse accoring to the following proceure. Remove the power supply to the instrument, press the key P an return power to the instrument, keeping the key presse. After about sec. the isplay will show the coe that ientifies the first parameter an it will be possible to set the parameters of the instrument using the same programming proceure escribe previously. Once the parameter has been selecte an the SET is on, it means that the parameter can be programme even on the first level ("visible ). If the le is it means that the parameter can only be programme on this level (i.e. hien ). To change the visibility of the parameter, press an keep presse the key P while acting on UP key: the le SET will change status, inicating the accessibility level of the parameter (on = parameter visible ; = parameter hien ). The access proceure for hien parameters allows the PP parameter to be checke an change, an is useful therefore if the passwor set has been forgotten. 3 - INFORMATI INSTALLATI AND USE 3. - PERMITTED USE The instrument has been projecte an manufacture as a measuring an control evice to be use accoring to EN0730- for the altitues operation until 2000 ms. The use of the instrument for applications not expressly permitte by the above mentione rule must aopt all the necessary protective measures. The instrument CANNOT be use in angerous environments (flammable or explosive) without aequate protection. The installer must ensure that EMC rules are respecte, also after the instrument installation, if necessary using proper filters. Whenever a failure or a malfunction of the evice may cause angerous situations for persons, thing or animals, please remember that the plant has to be equippe with aitional evices which will guarantee safety MECHANICAL MOUNTING The instrument, in case 33 x 7 mm, is esigne for flush-in panel mounting. Make a hole 29 x 7 mm an insert the instrument, fixing it with the provie special brackets. We recommen that the gasket is mounte in orer to obtain the front protection egree as eclare. Avoi placing the instrument in environments with very high humiity levels or irt that may create conensation or introuction of conuctive substances into the instrument. Ensure aequate ventilation to the instrument an avoi installation in containers that house evices which may overheat or which may cause the instrument to function at a higher temperature than the one permitte an eclare. Connect the instrument as far away as possible from sources of electromagnetic isturbances such as motors, power relays, relays, solenoi valves, etc ELECTRICAL CNECTI Carry out the electrical wiring by connecting only one wire to each terminal, accoring to the following iagram, checking that the power supply is the same as that inicate on the instrument an that the loa current absorption is no higher than the maximum electricity current permitte. As the instrument is built-in equipment with permanent connection insie housing, it is not equippe with either switches or internal evices to protect against overloa of current: the installation will inclue an overloa protection an a two-phase circuit-breaker, place as near as possible to the instrument, an locate in a position that can easily be reache by the user an marke as instrument isconnecting evice which interrupts the power supply to the equipment. It is also recommene that the supply of all the electrical circuits connecte to the instrument must be protect properly, using evices (ex. fuses) proportionate to the circulating currents. It is strongly recommene that cables with proper insulation, accoring to the working voltages an temperatures, be use. Furthermore, the input cable of the probe has to be kept separate from line voltage wiring. If the input cable of the probe is screene, it has to be connecte to the groun with only one sie. Whether the instrument is 2 V version it s recommene to use an external transformer TCTR, or with equivalent features, an to use only one transformer for each instrument because there is no insulation between supply an input. We recommen that a check shoul be mae that the parameters are those esire an that the application functions correctly before connecting the outputs to the actuators so as to avoi malfunctioning that may cause irregularities in the plant that coul cause amage to people, things or animals. 3 3.4 - ELECTRICAL WIRING DIAGRAM SUPPLY 4 - FUNCTIS DT A-AC C NC NO INPUT PTC-NTC PROBE 4. - / STAND-BY FUNCTI The instrument, once powere up, can assume 2 ifferent conitions: - : means that the controller uses the control functions. - STAND-BY : means that the controller oes not use any control function an the isplay is turne except for the SET le. If there is no power, an then power returns, the system always sets itself in the conition it was in before the black-out. The /Stan-by function can be selecte using the key DOWN if parameter "Fb" =. The parameter Fb can be configure as follows: = - The key DOWN carries out no function. = - Pressing the key for at least secon, it is possible to switch the instrument from the status to Stan-by status an vice versa MEASURING AND VISUALIZATI Via the parameter SE it is possible to select the type of probes that one wishes to use an which can be: thermistores PTC KTY8-2 () or NTC 03AT-2 (nt). Once the type of probe use has been selecte, through the parameter ru, it is possible to select the temperature unit of measurement ( C or F) an, through the parameter P, the resolution of the esire measurement (= ; on =0, ). The instrument allows the measuring to be calibrate, that can be use for re-calibrating the instrument accoring to application nees, through the parameters CA. Using the parameter Ft, it is possible to set the constant for the software filter for measuring the input values to be able to reuce the sensitivity to measurement isturbances (increasing the ). Please remember that visualisation of the probe can be change by the isplay block in efrosting function too, by using the parameter L (see par. 4.) TEMPERATURE CTROL The regulation of the instrument is /OFF an acts on the output epening on the measuring of probe, of the Set Point, the intervention ifferential an the function moe HC. Depening on the function moe programme on the parameter HC the ifferential is automatically consiere by the regulator with positive values for a Refrigeration control ( HC =C) or with negative values for a heating control ( HC =H). In the event of probe error, it is possible to set the instrument so that that the output continues to work in cycles accoring to the s programme in the parameter t (activation ) an t2 (eactivation ). If an error occurs on the probe the instrument activates the output for the t, then eactivates it for the t2 an so on whilst the error remains. Programming t = the output in probe error conition will remain switche. Programming instea t to any value an t2 = the output in probe error conition will remain switche on. Remember that the temperature regulation function can be conitione by the Compressor Protection function escribe below. HC=C HC=H COMPRESSOR PROTECTI FUNCTI AND DELAY AT POWER- The function Compressor Protection carrie out by the machine aims to avoi close start ups of the compressor controlle by the instrument in cooling applications. This function foresees a control on the switching on of the output associate with the temperature regulation request. The protection consists of preventing the output being switche on uring the set in the parameter an counte epening on what has been programme in the parameter PS, an therefore that any activation occurs only after the has finishe. If uring the power on elay phase, the regulator request shoul isappear, ue to an inhibition cause by the compressor protection function, the foreseen start up of the output is naturally cancelle. Using the parameter PS", it is possible to set the type of compressor protection an therefore from when the inhibition must start. The parameter PS can be set as: = : Power on elay = 2 : Delay after power "PS " = "P S" = 2 = 3 : Delay between power on phases. "PS" = 3 The function is isable by programming = 0. During the power on elay phases of the output by inhibiting the function Compressor Protection the le flashes. It is also possible to prevent activation of the output after the instrument is turne on, for the set in the parameter o. The function is isable by o =. Or it permits the visualization of label "F" ( L = Lb) uring the efrost cycle an, after the efrost, of label "P" until, at the en of efrost, the temperature has not reache the value [ + Et] or is ene the sette on par. "A". The isplay will otherwise continue to visualize the temperature measure by the probe uring the efrost cycle ( L = ) MANUAL DEFROST To start up a manual efrosting cycle, press the key UP/DEFROST when it is not in programming moe an keep it presse for about secons after which, if the conitions are correct, the le DEF will light up an the instrument will carry out a efrosting cycle PARAMETERS CFIGURATI BY KEY0 As option the instrument can be equippe with a connector that allows the transfer from an towar the instrument of the functioning parameters through the evice TECNOLOGIC KEY0 with poles connector. This evice it s mainly useable for the serial programming of the instruments which nee to have the same parameters configuration or to keep a copy of the programming of an instrument an allow its rapi retransmission. The guarantee is limite to repairs or to the replacement of the instrument. The eventual opening of the housing, the violation of the instrument or the improper use an installation of the prouct will bring about the immeiate withrawal of the warranty s effects. In the event of a faulty instrument, either within the perio of warranty, or further to its expiry, please contact our sales epartment to obtain authorisation for sening the instrument to our company.
