1 HomeWorks Wired seetouch Keypads (Domestic Models) Programmable buttons Status LEDs ST-B-NI-WH SK-B-I SK-SIR-I DESCRIPTI 08-0 a.0.0 HomeWorks keypads, available in many styles, colors, and finishes, provide homeowners with a simple and elegant way to operate lights, shades, motorized screens, pumps, thermostats, and many other devices. Keypads have LEDs that provide real-time status indication. Custom engraving is available on Button/Faceplate Kits to clearly identify each button s function. seetouch keypads feature large, easy-to-use buttons, plus a unique backlit engraving option that makes the keypads readable any time of the day or night. seetouch buttons are rounded, allowing engraving to be displayed at an upward angle, increasing readability. seetouch keypads are available with one to seven buttons, allowing you to customize the number of functions to fit your need. The flexible design even allows the number of buttons and the configuration of the buttons to be changed after the keypad is installed. All seetouch models have two contact closure inputs on the back of the unit which provide independent functions from the front buttons. Other options include configurations with infrared receiver and raise/lower buttons. Insert-Style keypads allow decorator-style controls to be easily ganged using standard Vareo or Nova T wallplates. Field-changeable button and faceplate assemblies make for easy customization. Front-located DIP switches allow change of address without removing the unit from the wall. Tested to withstand electrostatic discharge without damage or memory loss, in accordance with IEC Tested to withstand surge voltages without damage or loss of operation,in accordance with IEEE C6.-99 Recommended Practice on Surge Voltages in Low-Voltage AC Power Circuits. All terminal block inputs are over-voltage and miswire-protected against wire reversals and shorts. Has faceplate that snaps on with no visible means of attachment. Available as an insert style control for multi-ganging. Can be ganged to share a common faceplate with Lutron NovaT and Vareo dimmers. seetouch keypads require a -gang U.S. wallbox. Use Button/Faceplate Kits to change color, button configuration, engraving, or to switch between insert and noninsert versions. System Communications and Capacity Low-voltage type Class /PELV wiring connects keypads to processor. Each HomeWorks wired processor has three configurable links, each capable of directly controlling up to keypads. Each HomeWorks wired processor can drive up to 00 keypad LEDs. Each seetouch keypad counts as 5 LEDs. External power supplies may be used to drive an additional 50 LEDs. Connections Communications: One -pin removable terminal block. 6 08-0 6a.0.0 WIRING Keypad wiring may be in a daisy-chain, star or t-tap configuration. Each home run on a link may be up to,000 ft. (05m) and may contain up to 0 keypad devices. The total length of wire on that link (all home runs) may be up to,000 ft. (0m). Up to keypad devices may be placed on each processor link configured as a keypad link in the HomeWorks Utility. An external power supply may be required depending on the total current draw of all devices on that link. WIRE TYPE Two pair [one pair #8 AWG (.0mm ), one pair #-8 AWG (0.5-.0mm ) twisted shielded] Class /PELV. Lutron wire, model # GRX-CBL-6S-500, may be used. MUX MUX +5V COM COM Class /PELV wiring connections to HomeWorks processor or other keypads. Class /PELV wiring connections from customer supplied contact closure devices.. inputs must be dry momentary contact closures.. closures must be from common to selected input.. Momentary switch inputs require a minimum closure time of 0 msec.
