Operating Precautions 01) Since front polarizer is easily damaged, please be cautious and not to scratch it. 02) Be sure to turn off power supply when inserting or disconnecting from input connector. 03) Wipe off water drop immediately. Long contact with water may cause discoloration or spots. 04) When the panel surface is soiled, wipe it with absorbent cotton or soft cloth. 05) Since the panel is made of glass, it may be broken or cracked if dropped or bumped on hard 05) surface. 06) To avoid ESD (Electro Static Discharde) damage, be sure to ground yourself before handling 06) TFT-LCD Module. 07) Do not open nor modify the module assembly. 08) Do not press the reflector sheet at the back of the module to any direction. 09) In case if a module has to be put back into the packing container slot after it was taken out from 09) the container, do not press the center of the LED Reflector edge. Instead, press at the far ends of 09) the LED Reflector edge softly. Otherwise the TFT Module may be damaged. 10) At the insertion or removal of the Signal Interface Connector, be sure not to rotate nor tilt the 10) Interface Connector of the TFT Module. 11) Please pay attention for the matter as stated below at mounting design of the TFT module with 11) Touch Sensor & enclosure: 11) After installation of the TFT Module with Touch Sensor into an enclosure 11) (Notebook PC Bezel, for example), do not twist nor bend the TFT Module with Touch Sensor 11) even momentary. At designing the enclosure, it should betaken into consideration that 11) no bending/twisting forces are applied to the TFT Module with Touch Sensor from outside. 11) Otherwise the TFT Module with Touch Sensor may be damaged. 11) Enclosure support to fix TFT Module with Touch Sensor must be out of view (transparent) 11) area.(do not design enclosure presses the view area to protect from miss input) 11) Enclosure edge must be between view area & Guaranteed active area. 11) (Enclosure edge must not touch with view area) 11) We recommend the material of support to fix touch sensor is elastic material. 11) Do not bond top surface (film) of touch sensor with enclosure. 11) The corner parts have conductivity. Do not touch any metal part after mounting. 11) Special design is required for water resistance use. 11) Cleaning Touch panel by Air gun, pressure 2kg/cm2 below is suggested. This is preventing FPC 11) to peel off when air is blowing to FPC from glass side. 11) The mounting structure must has a reserved space for the FPC tail and never touch or squeeze 11) the FPC by case or another components preventing FPC to peel off. 12) Small amount of materials having no flammability grade is used in the LCD module. The LCD 12) module should be supplied by power complied with requirements of Limited Power Source 12) (IEC60950 or UL1950), or be applied exemption. 13) Severe temperature condition may result in different luminance, response time. 14) Continuous operating TFT-LCD display under high temperature environment may accelerate 14) LED light bar exhaustion and reduce luminance dramatically. 15) The data on this specification sheet is applicable when LCD module is placed in landscape 15) position. 16) Continuous displaying fixed pattern may induce image sticking. It is recommended to use 16) screen saver or shuffle content periodically if fixed pattern is displayed on the screen. 17) Do not lift Touch Panel by cable(fpc). 4/27

5 2. General Description This specification applies to the 10.1 inch TFT-LCD module with Projected Capacitive touch sensor. The screen format is intended to support WXGA (1280(H) X 800(V)) screen and 262K colors (RGB 6-bits data driver). All input signals are LVDS interface compatible. LED Driver is embedded. This is a RoHS product. 10 Note 5: Definition of response time: The output signals of photo detector are measured when the input signals are changed from White to Black (falling time) and from Black to White (rising time), respectively. The response time interval is between 10% and 90% of amplitudes. Please refer to the figure as below. Note 6: Definition of viewing angle Viewing angle is the measurement of contrast ratio 10, at the screen center, over a 180 horizontal and 180 vertical range (off-normal viewing angles). The 180 viewing angle range is broken down as below: 90 ( ) horizontal left and right, and 90 ( ) vertical high (up) and low (down). The measurement direction is typically perpendicular to the display sutface with the screen totated to its center to develop the desired measurement viewing angle. 10/27

17 6.8 Power ON/OFF Sequence VDD power and lamp on/off sequence is as below. Interface signals are also shown in the chart. Signals from any system shall be Hi-Z state or low level when VDD is off. The above on/off sequence should be applied to avoid abnormal function in the display. Please make sure to turn off the power when you plug the cable into the input connector or pull the cable out of the connector. 17/27

Safety Sharp Edge Requirements There will be on sharp edges or comers on the display assembly that could cause injury. -Flammability All components including electrical components that do not meet the flammability grade UL94-V1 in the module will complete the flammability rating exception approval process. The printed circuit board will be made from material rated 94-V1 or better. The actual UL flammability rating will be printed on the printed circuit board. Capacitors If any polarized capacitors are used in the display assembly, provisions will be made to keep them from being inserted backwards. 20/27
