1 COSASCO Suite Datalogging/Probe Reader The Cosasco Datalogging/Probe Reader Kit includes the required instruments to wirelessly read and configure: ER and LPR Probes Legacy Microcor ER Dataloggers Legacy ER and LPR Remote Data Collectors Measurement readings for all bluetooth instruments are displayed and recorded by the Transfer Unit (TU-500). Collected readings on the TU-500 can be downloaded wirelessly to a PC running Cosasco Data Offline software for graphing and analysis. All instruments may be read by the TU-500 from up to 60 ft. (20m) distance with clear line of site. This kit replaces the previous Checkmate Plus and MATE II* instruments. *When both ER and LPR Probe Reader are included. 2 DATALOGGING/PROBE READER Typical System-High Pressure Probe Reader Transfer Unit ER Probe Reader Probe Adapter Hollow Plug Pressure Retaining Cover Cosasco Flarweld Access Fitting ER Probe ER Corrosion Monitoring Point: High Pressure (up to 6000 psi) The above diagram shows the equipment required for a typical high pressure corrosion monitoring point using electrical resistance measurement technology. A typical ER probe reading system consists of an ER probe connected to a hollow plug and inserted into a Cosasco Access Fitting that has been welded onto the pipeline. The ER probe can be installed and retrieved under full operating pressure using a Cosasco Retriever and Service Valve. The ER-100 Probe Reader and Probe Adapter are placed into the probe. The TU-500 Transfer Unit communicates wirelessly with the ER-100 to take a metal loss reading. Collected readings on the TU-500 can be downloaded wirelessly to a PC running Cosasco Data Offline Software for graphing and analysis.

3 Typical System-Low Pressure Probe Reader ER Probe Reader 1 NPT Nipple Ball Valve Weldolet ER Retractable Probe ER Corrosion Monitoring Point: Low Pressure (up to 1500 psi) The above diagram shows the equipment required for a typical low pressure corrosion monitoring point using electrical resistance measurement technology. The electronic part of the ER Probe reading system works the same as the high pressure system except it uses a retractable means of access. A standard weldolet is welded onto the pipeline and a ball valve is installed and remains in situ. A retractable probe is installed and retracted under full operating pressure using a Cosasco 60 Retractor Kit.

4 Typical System-High Pressure Datalogging RDC-COT Transfer Unit Legacy Converter Remote Cable High Pressure Retaining Cover Hollow Plug ER Probe Cosasco Flarweld Access Fitting The LC-500 is mated to lemo connector on the legacy RDC-COT (shown above) or RDC-CAT converting it to be able to communicate with the TU-500 wirelessly via communication. The TU-500 communicates wirelessly with the LC-500 to configure and download data from the legacy RDCs. Collected readings on the TU-500 can be downloaded wirelessly to a PC running Cosasco Data Offline Software for graphing and analysis. The LC-500 is mated with the 6 pin connector on the legacy Microcor ML-9500B Datalogger. The LC-500 is mated with the lemo connector on the legacy Microcor MWT-3905-MDL Datalogger.
