4 3. Product Description 3.1. General Information The Baudisch.SIP-Displaymodul32 is an extension for the SIP Door Module MAXI / PLUS. It allows the user to select and dial a defined range of telephone directory entries. You can connect up to 4 SIP-Display Modules to one SIP Door Module to list 4 telephone directory lists separately. In case of the connection of more than one module it is necessary to connect all further modules separately to a 24V supply. The Door Module is able to supply only one Display module with its integrated power supply! 3.2. Software Version! To make the SIP-Display module work, you have to use a Baudisch.SIP Door Module MAXI / PLUS (firmware 7.1 or higher) and activate the scan parameter.! Since firmware version 8i0 of Baudisch.SIP Door Module MAXI / PLUS the scan parameter for one Display Module is active in the factory settings.! 5 Connection to a Baudisch.SIP Door Module MAXI / PLUS Connect the ribbon cable which is supplied with the Display Module to the connector X1 IN of the Display Module to the connector X5 of the SIP Door Module MAXI / PLUS.! Please note that the Baudisch.SIP Door Module can power one Baudisch.CP-CAM, one Button Module (1B to 16B) and one Display Module simultaneously. Do you want to use multiple Display Modules, at the first module the jumper J3 must be open. At the second module, you can then use the screw terminal X4 to connect an external power supply Configuration General Information! Do not configure several Display Module to the same index range. Make sure the amount of connected modules ( Mod. Count) is programmed to the actual connected modules in each device. The following languages are available: German (de), English (en), French (fr), Italian (it), Dutch (nl) The setting Menu language can only be set to on of these languages. The setting is used for the configuration menu. The setting Text languages specifies the language for the normal text messages to the user. 13 3.5. Functional Sequence After connecting to the power supply, the Display Module is in standby mode. It is waiting for a Signal from the Door Module to send a request for the telephone directory entries. If the signal was received, the entries are transmitted. A progress bar is shown in the display. If there are no entries in the configured range, the following will appear: In other case, the first entry is shown: To browse through the entries, use the buttons on the left hand side. The left button scrolls in ascending order, the other button in descending order. If the end of the list is reached, it jumps back to the first entry. If there is no call to a displayed entry for 10 seconds, the first entry is shown again. To call the displayed entry, push the right button. If there is an active dial the following is shown in the display: This sequence is shown independent of the call is missed or someone is speaking for 10 seconds. Afterwards it is possible to choose another entry and try a further call.
