CCG is one of the few firms concentrating exclusively on this market, and we have been for more than two decades, says Edwards. This was our sole focus and vision from inception. CCG has been providing professional services to data center facilities before many firms even recognized the market existed. 25 years ago, data centers were a unique type of facility on the cusp of a new stage in their evolution, explains Edwards. That evolution continues today as data centers underpin a digital environment that is changing culture and society in fundamental ways, he continues. 6 Both the design program and commissioning process for any mission critical facility carry equal responsibilities - to ensure the Owner s business mission remains uninterrupted and operates at optimum efficiency throughout its useful life adds Thomas King, PE, CxA, LEED AP BD+C, CEM, CPD, principal and director of commissioning services. For those projects, risk assessments and mitigation practices are included into each test procedure, continues King. These risk assessments are categorized for each project and incorporated into every test procedure to clearly communicate the test execution risks to the entire project team. As required, tests are enhanced with back-out procedures in the event that testing conditions warrant the discontinuation of the procedure execution. Repeat relationships CCG s longevity in the mission critical market has created trusted partnerships with many repeat clients, including AOL, Computer Sciences Corporation, Merck, VISA International, AboveNet Communications, Citigroup, Intuit, Digital Realty Trust, Sentinel Data Centers and DuPont Fabros Technology (DFT).
