CTG and Nepal Telecom Jointly Deliver IP Services in Nepal CTG and Nepal Telecom, the major operator in Nepal, have reached an agreement to deliver IP services in Nepal, with the 2016 newly launched terrestrial cable route connecting China and Nepal via the Jilong (Rasuwa) Gateway. 2 HAMBURG SUMMIT Hamburg Summit "China Meets Europe" CTG CEO Deng Xiaofeng attended the 7th Hamburg Summit "China Meets Europe" in Germany in late November, and was invited to join a panel discussion at the Summit. As the major conference on Sino-European business relations, the Hamburg Summit offered a platform for open dialogue between Europe and China with the objective of improving economic relations. Led by the Vice Premier of the PRC Liu Yandong, the 2016 delegates from China consisted of 70 enterprise executives and industry experts. At the panel discussion on "The rise of the new Chinese middle class", Deng addressed the challenges and opportunities brought about by the new generation of Chinese internet users. By analysing user behavior and industry trends, China Telecom showcased its leading capabilities and social responsibility, which was well received by the audience.

At the exhibition, CTG showcased China Telecom s new products and services as well as its contribution to network expansion and economic development in Africa, the Middle East and the world, which attracted many enquiries from the delegates. CTG also held various meetings with carriers from Africa and the Middle East to review work in progress and to facilitate upcoming partnerships. CTG managed to leverage the exhibition to present its capabilities and to broaden the cooperation opportunities with carriers in the regions, laying the foundation for business growth in the future.

4 NEPAL TELECOM CTG and Nepal Telecom Jointly Deliver IP Services in Nepal CTG and Nepal Telecom, the major operator in Nepal, have reached an agreement to deliver IP services in Nepal, with the 2016 newly launched terrestrial cable route connecting China and Nepal via the Jilong (Rasuwa) Gateway. China Telecom is dedicated to expanding its footprint by connecting with neighbouring countries. The new China-Nepal route is unprecedented as it is a new direct alternative route for traffic demand generated from Nepal to all over the world, and provides a high quality service and low latency solution for end users in Nepal.

5 DDC CTG Selects DDC as a Strategic Hub for Pan-African Expansion CTG has selected the Djibouti Data Center (DDC) to support CTG and the Southeast Asia-Middle East-Western Europe (SEA-ME-WE 5) submarine cable system to meet high-speed connectivity demands along the Belt and Road route. The DDC will also facilitate network expansion, co-location and submarine fiber cable access services in East Africa. The cooperation with DDC is a significant component of CTG s overall commitment to contributing to the digital evolution and economic development of Africa. With the combined network resources resulting from the partnership, CTG will be able to offer better service to its MNC clients and Carrier partners.
