Power Business Unit includes Transformers, Switchgear, GIS, Circuit Breakers, Vacuum Interrupters, Network Protection & Control Gear, as well as design, servicing, and execution of turnkey T&D projects and solutions. This is the largest business which is now well entrenched throughout the world. It is a high value, high turnover business with a strong global footprint, contributing to approx 70 per cent in consolidated revenue. The facilities are located in different parts of India, Belgium, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, UK and US. Industrial Business Unit is engaged in the business of Power Conversion Equipment; a wider spectrum of High and Low Tension rotating machines (motors and alternators), stampings, as well as railway transportation & signaling products. Industrial Systems is largely India focused with a very strong market presence and market leadership position in many segments including AC Motors, Generators and DC Motors. CG are the largest manufacturers of Low Tension motors in India offering a range of AC and DC motors ranging from 0.18kW to 4MW in various standards and customized configurations to

3 respond to the exacting demands of the industry. CG also caters to foreign markets through its facilities in Hungary and exports. CG s product portfolioo includes motors & generators up to 30MW. Consumer Business Unit, One of the fastest growing businesses of we manufacture and market a spectrum of products ranging from fans, light sources and luminaries, pumps and household electrical appliances such as geysers, mixer grinders, toasters, irons and electric lanterns. This businesss is CG s second largest SBU, highly capital efficient and the most significant cash generator. CG also enjoys substantial brand presence and goodwill in India. Automation Business Unit, In July 2012, CG acquired ZIV group of Spain and opened a new vista for CG s leadership in Automation Solutions. ZIV, a technology driven company with good R&D set up and established presence in Europe and Americas, has over 20 years of experiencee through state-of-art innovative, and customer oriented solutions. ZIV is well known for their Power System Protections, Automation Solutions, Metering Solutions, and Communication solutions in global Power System market. This new venture is yet one major step by CG in establishing itself as a fulll Solutions Provider. CG s acquisitions of NELCO in 2011 also made the company a stronger player in traction electronics and SCADA for railway business and build capabilities in designing and manufacturing drives. Further acquisitions of QEI of US which is a market leader of SCADA and automation system which are used to manage transmission and distribution networks, has further strengthen the position of CG in SCADA and SAS in India and Europe, especially in penetrating the North American market. 4 ENGINEERING PROJECTS DIVISION (EPD) One of the biggest divisions in CG s Power Business Unit is Projects division of the company which is EPD. CG started its Projects Division at Mumbai in the year Among the first milestones of a turnkey contract were a traction substation and a railway overhead line project in the year 1983 and by the turn of that decade, CG had joined the select club of 400 kv EPC substation contractors. Now headquartered at Gurgaon, INDIA, offers complete services for Design, Manufacture, Supply, Testing, Transportation, Installation, and Construction of large scale Turnkey Projects in India & Abroad. EPD provides single window supply source for the expansive range of CG Products and is slated to play a pivotal role for the requirement of Power Utilities, Industrial Projects and Core Sector Industries. EPD s largest installation have been with Turnkey Contracts covering Outdoor (Air Insulated Substation, AIS) & Indoor (Gas Insulated Substation, GIS) Switchyards from 11kV up to 765kV for Power Utilities, Total Power Distribution for Power Plants & Industries for downstream Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Distribution, Total Civil Works covering substation Foundations, switchyard structural Works, Substation Buildings, Control Room Buildings, Underground cable Tunnel, cable Trenches, Rail cum Road Tracks & Drainage Systems, Fencing etc. Engineering Projects Division (EPD) has in house capability to engineer, execute and construct 765 kv turnkey Substation Projects. 765 kv UPPTCL-UNNAO, The first ever 765 kv Substation Charged in India for a State Electricity Board on 18/01/2012

EPD has more than 50,000 man hours of engineering experience in the field of Primary Engineering. The division has in house expertise on civil design too. EPD s Project Managers are trained in Primavera & MS Project and EPD has more than 10 certified Project Management Professionals managing several projects Pan India.
