2 Administration/ Executive Division Reception Area Function: Serves as the main customer and employee entrance and provides the first impression for Knight Abbey. The receptionist greets the public, answers phone calls, and takes messages. Desired Sq Footage: 340 sq ft Adjacencies: Direct to customer lounge and close to conference/board room, corridor to executive suites (2ea) Shared printer Computer (2 each) Task chairs for two receptionist Reception station with transaction counter and accessible counter Seating for four with appropriate accent tables Box/box file per person, shared lateral file Conferencing Needs: None Privacy Needs: None Additional Comments: provide signage/logo, display area. Customer Lounge Function: Provides guests with a place to sit while they wait. This space should provide internet, television, and refreshments. They make sales calls, develop new client contacts and work with the existing client base to bring in new print jobs. Sq. Eight graphic designers work in this space. Common Area/ Copy Area Function: Provides an informal, open gathering space for breaks and meetings. Also serves as a work area for copying and storing recent projects. There will be a space for office supplies in this area. Sq. Footage: Open up to 250 ft. (not enclosed with walls) Adjacencies: Needs to be centrally located within sales and CSR area. It is located in the open office area and needs to be flexible in nature. Privacy Needs: None, it is a public area. Additional Comments: This space can be very fun and does not have many limits to creativity. This space should be a fun area with a restaurant feel. Moveable booths are a possibility. FILE ROOM: Square Footage: min. 475 square footage. Function: To provide a space for archives and storing project files. Adjacencies: Should be easily accessible to the Customer Services Representatives. Must have a minimum of 7,200 filing inches. Must provide a counter top space or pull out filing shelf for viewing of the files. High density filing is an option- floor may need to be reinforced. Should be fire rated. SPRINKLER ROOM Square Footage: square feet. Function: Houses the fire prevention system Adjacencies: Must be located along a northeast exterior wall and close to the electrical room. ELECTRICAL ROOM Function: Houses power and electrical equipment Square Footage: square feet. Adjacencies: Must be located along a northeast exterior wall and adjacent to sprinkler room. RESTROOMS: Square Footage: See plan for recommended locations may be relocated. Employee Restroom: 640 square feet Public Restroom: up to 300 square feet may be a single unisex accessible restroom. 13 Function: To provide accessible public and employee restrooms for men and women Adjacencies: Employee Restrooms should be close to the Press Room and the Dining Area. Public Restrooms should be close to the Customer Lounge and the Reception Area. Mirrors, Toilet Paper Dispensers, Paper Towel Dispensers, Soap Dispensers, and trash receptacles. Employee Restrooms: (Required by Code) Male- 2 urinals, 1 handicapped stall, 1 stall, 2 sinks and 1 accessible sink Female- 3 stalls, 1 handicapped stall, 2 sinks and 1 accessible sink Public Restrooms: (Minimum of 1 unisex accessible restroom or may be multi-stall restrooms.)
