Actually the database refers to more than 400 journals Analytics of: Scientific contribution, summaries of cases, commentaries to statutes, conference papers, book review Database size: documents Updating: bimonthly for abstracts; fortnightly for TOCs Annual increase: about DoGi documents Public promoters: National Research Council, Library of the Chamber of Deputies

9 DoGi: challenges and future directions Creation of a data model for the Dogi data set Interoperability with other LOD dataset and with national and international thesauri/classification schemes DoGi like SSRN repository for Italian legal outputs and evolution from a bibliographic database to a citational database.

11 Linked Data DoGi Challenge: continue to provide the existing platform of DoGi, based on relational data, and enrich it with Linked Open Data. Requirements: 1. Maintain the current relational data or the data input process* 2. Publish an additional RDF version of data 3. Manage bimonthly update 4. Keep both versions up to date
12 Data Mapping Relational data (tables: coloumns and rows) has to be converted to RDF (triples: subject, predicate and object). We choose the D2RQ Platform: - existing relational data are preserved - new RDF data are generated on the fly from relational one

14 Data Linking Linking data is a major aspect for Linked Data. Some Linked Data sets have been selected: VIAF (authors) BPR (journals) DBpedia (authors and ministry) Sources of Law (juridical and normative) is the major and distinctive aspect of DoGi.
