Studio is built on the Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP), taking advantage of the RCP framework for building and deploying native GUI applications. It extends the Eclipse Data Tools Platform (DTP) to enhance Teradata Database access. Teradata Studio is based on Eclipse release 4.4 and DTP release and runs on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X platforms. Teradata Studio is a Java based analogue to the Windows-based Teradata Administrator.
