2 Introduction This document describes how the InnoVis LPR application can be integrated into NUUO. Learn how to configure the output of InnoVis to be compatible with NUUO Mainconsole, and learn how to prepare NUUO Mainconsole for receiving as input the InnoVis LPR detection results. The InnoVis LPR system receives the video stream(s) directly from the camera or cameras. InnoVis then analysis and processes this stream to find and read the license plate(s). All detected plates, including possible black/white-list comparison can then be sent to NUUO Mainconsole for alarm handling, storing, and (post)event research. <The diagram of NUUO VMS and InnoVis LPR> 2/12

3 <Quick Installation Guide> Step 1: [INNOVIS LPR Software] Start INNOVIS LPR Designer and then define a new project or open an existing one (InnoVis Projects setup is beyond the scope of this manual. Please refer to InnoVis Designer s User Manual). 3/12

4 Step 2: [INNOVIS LPR Software] Go to the Post Processor Management panel and fill the information needed for defining a new Post Processor: - Name: NUUO MainConsole (or whatever you like) - Type: Select Server Socket from the list of possible types - Reference lane: Select the lane which information will be sent to NUUO MainConsole Then click on Add Post Processor 4/12

5 Step 3: [INNOVIS LPR Software] In the ServerSocket Processor Settings window fill the Socket Port field with the TCP port used to communicate with NUUO MainConsole. We suggest to use the NUUO default port: 7000 Then click on Update to save the settings. InnoVis is now ready to send the LPR results to NUUO MainConsole. Follow the usual procedure to export the project in the Runtime folder (see the Deigner s User Manual) and start the InnoVis Runtime. 5/12

6 Step 4 : [NUUO Mainconsole] Start NUUO VMS, go to Config, and then go to Metadata Application. Step 5 : [NUUO Mainconsole] ] Click on Insert to add a new metadata application, and then choose LPR as the source type. 6/12

7 Step 6: [NUUO Mainconsole] Fill in TCP Server IP and TCP Server Port. TCP Server IP is the IP address of the server which you are running InnoVis LPR with. TCP Server Port must be the same as the port you set up in InnoVis LPR software. Step 7:[NUUO Mainconsole] When the InnoVis Runtime is running, this metadata server will be available. After connection is available, click on "OK" to save this metadata source. 7/12

8 Step 8: [NUUO Mainconsole] Click on this metadata server and then click on "Insert" to add a metadata source. Step 9: [NUUO Mainconsole] Select the camera to be associated to the LPR data and select the InnoVis tag tag filter. The tag filter allows to have a properly formatted display of the LPR data in overlay of the images. 8/12

9 If in your NUUO MainConsole installation the tag filter is not present, you can easily build one by yourself: Click new in the Tag Filter panel: In the Tag Filter window, insert the name you want to give to the filter and click on + to add a filtering rule: 9/12

10 In the Add Filter window insert the following values: Using the above method, add two other rules following the below examples: 10/12

11 After inserting the three filter rules you will have the following Tag Filter window: Confirm the settings clicking OK. 11/12

12 Step 10: [NUUO Mainconsole] Once selected the proper Tag Filter and the camera to be associated, the integrationbetween NUUO MainConsole and InnoVis is up and running! 12/12
