1 CU*Answers Statement Processing with Onserts through Sage Direct, Inc. A Preview of the Sage Direct Inc. Website to Incorporate Onserts on Printed Member Statements Prepared on July 18, 2010 By Bridget Shilts, CU*Answers CSR 1
2 What are Statement Onserts? An Onsert is a graphical marketing message that is printed directly on member statements (printed statements only) like an insert except it s on the statement page! You can work directly with your statement print vendor to incorporate Onserts onto your printed statements (if supported) Additional steps are needed to interface with your CU*BASE member data if you want to use Selective Onserts Cost effective: minimal fees associated with using this feature (contact your statement print vendor for pricing)
3 Setting Up Selective Onserts in CU*BASE If creating a SELECTIVE Onsert, the credit union must update the website and update the screen within CU*BASE via MNPRTC #11 3
4 Uploading Onserts to Website URL: Set up CU Profile Primary Contact & Secondary Contact employees at CU are required This information is used to send notifications throughout the month Onsert Selection: Default/Selective CU may use Default and Selective Onsert together, remember only ONE Onsert will print on a member s statement If the member is within the selective Onsert group, they will receive this Onsert only 4

6 Adding an Onsert to the Sage Site 1. Choose Upload Onsert then Browse 2. Locate the Onsert PDF file Should be saved on your PC or a network drive prior to 3. Once the Onsert is selected an image will display 6
7 Adding an Onsert to the Sage Site 4. Type in the description of the Onsert This saves the Onsert into the CU s history for future use 5. Once Onserts have been uploaded and viewable you may choose View Proof or Approve/Finalize 7
8 The Approve/Finalize Option This message will appear after selecting the Approve/Finalize option No changes will be allowed after the OK option is selected 8
9 The Approve/Finalize Option Once Approve/Finalize is selected and OK is chosen you will see a proof of the Onsert and for the statement cycle it is scheduled for Notice it says approved after the credit union s name 9

11 Setting Up Onserts for Future Months Onserts that are already saved on the website can be used by selecting Use Existing Onserts At the top of the screen View Proof will be the only option, but you can still press enter to save the Approval/Finalize The Contact should receive notification once approved Make sure to choose the appropriate month and whether it is a DEFAULT or SELECTIVE Onsert that will be used 11
12 Setting Up Onserts for Future Months Screen you will see after selecting the View Proof option 12
13 Reminders If the CU has set up an onsert from last month and it has not been approved or updated. The next month the CU contact will start receiving notifications. 13
14 Onsert that have NOT been Approved/Finalized Onserts that have been unapproved will remain on the website If the credit union has not approved the proof during the month specified, the credit union contacts will receive notifications The notifications will start generating on the 2nd Monday of every month 14
15 Notifications 1st Reminder - sent to contacts created within Profile asking you to update your Onserts 2nd Monday of the month 2nd Reminder - Notifying contacts that you have 5 business days left to upload an Onsert before the website locks you out (NO Onsert will be used if this reminder is not acted upon) 3rd Monday of the month 3rd Reminder - If no approval/finalized option selected and CU would like to use an Onsert, must contact Sage Direct 4th Monday of the month 15
