4 1 Introduction The purpose of this document is to describe the Dress Rehearsal activities that will take place on Saturday, October 1 st The purpose of this mandatory Dress Rehearsal is to verify that all participants applications can correctly access the MTA, MIV, AIM-MAC, ETF Plus, MOT, SeDeX, TAH and ETLX markets on the Millennium IT platform and that participants are able to perform trading activities and receive market data. In particular, participants attending the testing sessions are required to: 1. double check their logon procedures for all the enabled Comp IDs on MIT (for Native Trading Gateway, FIX Trading Gateway, Post Trade Gateway, Drop Copy Gateway and MITCH), and for all the enabled Comp IDs on GTP service; 2. carry out standard trading activity entering/amending/deleting orders and executing trades; 3. carry out market making activity (market makers and specialists) validating the correct behaviour of their quoting systems. Together with the new version of Millennium IT platform (Release 9), to facilitate customers testing of the new version of GTP/GTPLite service against the current version of SOLA platform also IDEM, IDEX and AGREX markets will be available during the Dress Rehearsal. Customers are invited to connect to SOLA platform and send/modify/cancel orders, manage trades and verify the correct message handling through GTP/GTPLite Service. 4

5 Test Overview All the market participants are required to logon to MIT and GTP service from all relevant applications using at least one Comp ID/user per type of activity performed. The test is performed in the production environment of all the services involved: - MTA, MIV, AIM-MAC, ETF Plus, MOT and SeDeX markets on MIT platform - IDEM, IDEX and AGREX markets on SOLA platform - ETLX on MIT platform - MITCH Service - GTP (Group Ticker Plant) Service (Milan and London instances) - BTS (Bit Trading Station) All trades executed during the test session will not be sent to the production Post Trade systems. Reconciliation Files (for customers of the Reconciliation Files Service) will not be produced for the Dress Rehearsals. It s under the customers responsibility at the end of the test session to restore the trading applications back to the current production version and prepare their systems for the Monday Live Service on the current version of MIT Platform. 6 2 Pre Dress Rehearsal Activities Before the Dress Rehearsals, customers are requested to have completed all appropriate testing where necessary: - Passed the full conformance test for all the proprietary trading application based on Native protocol; - Passed the full conformance for all the proprietary trading application based on FIX protocol; - Received the appropriate software release and instructions from their ISVs - For clients using BTS Client, download the new Client version from the following link: To enable customers to satisfy these requirements, the required documentation is available on the Borsa Italiana and ETLX websites as per the links below: MIT Platform Borsa markets in correspondence of the Technical Specification - CDS Version - Release 9 section MIT Platform ETLX market GTP service Customers are invited to send an to service-desk@borsaitaliana.it and clientsservices@borsaitaliana.it confirming the participation and indicating one (or more) reference person for the test. 7 3 Rehearsal Activities Customers will connect to the same Production Environment IP addresses and port usually used for live environment. The full list of destination IP addresses is available: - In the MIT701 - Connectivity Specification TAH Market document available at the link - In the MIT702 - Connectivity Specification Main Market document available at the link - In the MIT701 - EuroTLX - Connectivity Specification document available at the link Participants are required to logon with at least one Comp ID/user per Market and per type of activity performed. During the test session participants shall perform the following activities: - verify the connectivity to the new version of MIT Platform (Release 9) - verify the connectivity and the correct login to MITCH and GTP Service - validate the trading functions of their proprietary and/or third party software applications including quoting systems - verify the correct message handling of the market data feeds through MITCH and GTP Service 7

8 Customers should perform the following basic activities: - Login procedure: Connect to MIT Platform with at least one Comp ID/user per type of activity performed Connect to MITCH and/or GTP Services through at least one Comp ID - Basic trading activity: Enter / Modify / Cancel Orders Trades management Enter Quotes (Specialists only) Modify Quotes (Specialists only) Delete Quotes (Specialists only) Submit RFQ on ETF/MOT/EuroMOT/ExtraMOT and ETLX markets. Respond to RFQ (market makers only) - Market data dissemination: Check correct reception of real time feed (orders and prices) At the end of the test session, participants are required to verify the correct restore of their software applications back to the previous production version. 8

9 4 Trading date The trading date will be set to Saturday, October 1 st Reference Data The configuration of the Reference Data, in term of instruments, is dated October 3 rd Customers are informed that the MIT309 - BIT - FTP Services RFQ Market Maker Reference Data file will not be generated for the test. Customers will be provided with an excel file with the association between the instruments and Market Makers configured as a responder for the test. 9

10 6 Session Timetable The test session will start at 10:30 am CEST (login) and will end at 1 pm CEST as detailed below. The logon to MIT trading and data feed (MITCH) platform, SOLA trading platform, BTS and GTP service will be available starting from 10:30 am CEST. We inform you that any active order that remain on the order books after the test will be cancelled at the end of the session. Customers can consider the test finished at 1 pm CEST. Further internal tests will be performed during the day. Customers are invited to disconnect their production sessions, and disregard any data that may be disseminated to Millennium IT, SOLA, GTP and GTP Lite production environments during the rest of the day. 10

11 7 Test Results Confirmation At the end of the test session, Customers are required to confirm the success of their day s testing.
