4 1 Introduction 1.1 Purpose, audience and scope This guide is a reference for installation and configuration of MeetNow Audio for Cisco UC. 2 Requirements MeetNow Audio can be installed on physical or virtual server running Windows 2003, 2008 and 2008 R2. Manual step during installation are required as detailed below. MeetNow audio requires Internet Explorer as browser to access the Web Interface for configuration and usage. 3 Installation process To install Imagicle MeetNow Audio you need to follow the following steps: Disable User Account Control Install the package as administrator During setup, choose an existing local administrator If using Windows 2008 please change the user used by IIS to browse the file system (see below User used by IIS to browse the file system ) If using a 64bit operating system please enable 32 bit applications on IIS (see below Enable 32 bit applications on IIS ) If you use SQL server express instead of MSDE, edit the connection strings accordingly (see below Connection string ) 3.1 User used by IIS to browse the file system Locate the sv subdirectory under the default web site. Edit the basic settings and set "Connect as" the user you have chosen during setup Do the same for the web subdirectory: 3.2 Enable 32 bit applications on IIS If using a 64 bit edition of Windows (ex: Windows 2008 R2), you need to enable 32 bit applications on IIS. After setup, run IIS Manager. Select the StoneVideoAppPool and edit the advanced Settings. Set "Enable 32 bit Applications" to True; then restart ISS: 01/02/
5 If using older IIS you can configure 32 bit applications by hand following this procedure: 1. Create a batch file (ex. 32bit.bat ) and put it in C:\Inetpub\AdminScripts\32bit.bat 2. Edit the batch and insert the following: cscript.exe adsutil.vbs set W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32BitAppOnWin64 true Then run the script and restart IIS (iisreset). 01/02/
6 3.3 Connection to DataBase MeetNow can use MSDE, SQL server Express 2005 and SQL server Express The default connection string prompted by the setup is related to MSDE when installed following the documentation procedure. If you want to use a different SQL server instance, check the name of the instance through the service manager. If the name is MSSQLSERVER, you can skip it in the connection string. Connection string examples: Using default instance Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Server= \SQLEXPRESS;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=sa;Password=;Initial Catalog=SvMcuAuData; Using Microsoft SQL Express instance Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Server= \SQLEXPRESS;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=sa;Password=;Initial Catalog=SvMcuAuData; When using Application Suite prerequisites: Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Server= ;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=sa;Password=SvBillyBlues$;Initial Catalog=SvMcuAuData; 01/02/
7 4 Cisco UCM configuration MeetNow interacts with the Cisco Unified CallManager as a traditional H.323 endpoint. To configure on CUCM just add an H.323 gateway with the IP address configured for MeetNow and signaling port Ex: MeetNow supports G.711 and G.729 codecs, so no need to flag MTP. Then insert a Route Pattern to define the pilot point to call MeetNow: You do not need any specific configuration on MeetNow. 01/02/
8 5 How to use MeetNow To reach the management web interface you have to enter in your browser the URL: where is the IP address of the MeetNow server. Login with administrator account (default: username = admin / password = admin). Once logged in, the home shows as follows: Administrator can manage MeetNow Video engine through the Manage Engine link. Once the engine is started, the first thing to do is to create a Meeting Room. 5.1 Meeting Rooms A Meeting Room may be compared to a room containing a certain group of participants. For example, you can create a Sales Room, where adding the sales contacts you need to connect in a conference and a Tech Room, adding the tech contacts. Sales contacts will be connected each other in the Sales Room through their Invitation Number, tech contacts in the Tech Room, so different independent private rooms. A meeting room may be used infinite times; therefore you can use the meeting room as a work group and schedule a meeting which will start every week (for example the Tuesday at 10 o clock) where the participants will be always the same sales contacts of the company. You need to start by creating a Meeting Room by four simple configuration steps: First step to assign a label to the room (es. Sales Room) Second step to specify the name of the invitees; the system automatically generates a Number which can be changed (either in term of number of digits): the same Invitation Number can be used by more participants to take part to the same conference 01/02/
9 Third step to plan/schedule the conference meeting. The fields involved are: Subject: in which you have to insert an significant name for the meeting. Start: here you have to enter the beginning date and time of the meeting; you can use the calendar by clicking on the button. Duration: is the total duration of the meeting; at the end of the configured minutes (120 in the example) the communication will close. Seats: the seats are the places reserved for a videoconference; this means the maximum number of participants. In the example below, up to 10 participants can take part to a conference together; an 11 st user will be not accepted in the conference. The number of seats may be modified also when the meeting has already started; the same Invitation Number may be used multiple times to join to the same scheduled meeting if you only would like to define one general invitee. Countdown Time: the system warns the participants when the conference is going to finish. In this field you have to specify how many minutes before the end of the meeting the users will be informed. Comments: some notes about the meeting or a short description. 01/02/
10 Once finished it is possible to edit the schedule, delete it or create a new one. The scheduled conferences are indicated with a yellow bar in the room of the meetings, in correspondence of the date, the time and the meeting room for which they was created. With the last step you can send the invites to the participants; you only need to enter the address of the participant and MeetNow Video will automatically send the (you can see it in the preview) with the conference details and the Invitation Number. 01/02/
11 5.2 Global Settings The Settings link on the web interface gives access to the global parameters. MeetNow welcome and attendant audio files can be customized by uploading into the system 8Khz, 16 bit, mono audio files in.wav format (as per below figure). Every conference participant can invite additional users by dialing the digit "5" on the phone keypad, followed by the number to dial and the "#" key. To use the feature, the "Dial-out gateway address" in the system parameters must be set with the IP address of the H.323 gateway to use for dial-out (ex: your IP-PBX IP Address, Cisco Unified CallManager, CallManager Express or the one used). 5.3 Test the parameters Before sending any invitation you need to configure the mail parameters. Using the suitable tool you can quickly configure the parameters and test the functionalities. 01/02/
12 6 License MeetNow The registration of the application happens through an easy License Activation Tool. The License Activation Tool provides some information about the MeetNow version installed on the server and about the Operating System where MeetNow is running (see Version and Operating System fields). Please copy the Serial Number and go online to to activate the MeetNow license you purchased on that specific server, by coupling the serial number you got from the activation tool with the license in the activation process. When you receive the unlock code, click on the Activate button of the Registrator. A new window will appear where you have to paste the provided code. Once entered the code, click on Unlock. If the provided code is correct, a message will inform you that the application as been correctly licensed otherwise contact the Imagicle support. 01/02/
